Jika kita melihat foto ini tentu terlihat motif tradisional yang cukup khas dan menarik disini yang diukir di tiang-tiang dinding, khusus di Aceh motif ini telah menjadi khas dan kebanggaan masyarakat Aceh, biasa disebut motif *Pintu Aceh (Bahasa Aceh: Pinto Aceh)*. Sebagai salah satu warisan budaya, motif *Pinto Aceh* sudah dikenal sejak tahun 1926. Disain motif ini diambil dari beberapa monumen bersejarah yang ditinggalkan oleh Sultan Iskandar Muda (1607-1636) yang dahulu dikenal dengan gerbang *pinto khop*, yang monumen nya saat inj berada di tepi sungai (krueng) Daroy.

Sejak tahun 1926 motif ini telah banyak dibuat dalam bentuk cenderamata perhiasan dan bros wanita oleh para pengrajin emas dan perak. Menurut beberapa pengakuan bahwa pembuatan perhiasan emas pinto aceh harus memiliki ketrampilan mumpuni dikarenakan kesulitan yang cukup tinggi pada motif nya.

Kala itu salah seorang pengrajin perhiasan tahun 1935 bernama Mahmud Ibrahim (Utoh Mud) dari desa *(Bahasa Aceh: gampoeng)* Blang Oi berhasil mempopulerkan perhiasan emas bermotif khas tradisional Pinto Aceh pada acara yang dilaksanakan oleh Belanda di Blang Padang, Banda Aceh.

Kementrian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud) ditahun 2015 sempat menetapkan motif Pinto Aceh menjadi karya seni tradisional Aceh yang telah ditetapkan sebagai warisan budaya Indonesia.
