Structured Routine or Spontaneous Approach? Which Approach? | LOH#228 [ENG/ESP]

When carrying out our daily or recreational activities, some people tend to have prior planning, organized schedules, and even agendas with all kinds of specifications to make the most of their time or to have that sense of control over each action we take. On the other hand, there are those whose ideas or activities arise spontaneously, and they let their ideas flow as each moment passes, allowing their mind to be free and thus allowing more creativity to flow.

Well, that's how I see it from my perspective, since we must take into account other factors such as procrastination, overexertion, mental or artistic blocks, anxieties or discouragement that may arise from overthinking when trying to predict the results of actions we haven't yet taken, and other elements that can generate either option.

>Al momento de llevar a cabo nuestras actividades diarias o de recreación, hay quienes suelen tener planificaciones previas, horarios organizados e incluso agendas con todo tipo de especificaciones para aprovechar el tiempo al máximo o tener esa sensación de control ante cada acción que realicemos y, por otra parte, están los que cada idea o actividad surge espontáneamente y dejan fluir sus ideas conforme pasa cada momento, esto para permitir que la mente sea libre y de esta manera fluya más esa creatividad.

>Bueno, eso es como lo veo yo desde mi visión, ya que hay que tener en cuenta otros factores como la procrastinación, la sobreexigencia, los bloqueos mentales o artísticos, las ansiedades o desánimos que pudieran surgir ante el sobrepensar a la hora de intentar predecir resultados a acciones que aún no realizamos y demás elementos que pueden generar cualquiera de las dos opciones.

Now, following up on @priyanarc's question about which of these two we think we have in our daily lives, my answer would be that, in my case, I tend to work on both alternately, and this, more than anything, will depend on each stage I'm in, whether it's during periods where I constantly have a constant focus or during periods where I feel down or even mentally exhausted, which could lead me to overorganize in a structured way.

And while I've always said I tend to have a planner where I constantly write down ideas, potential topics, communities, titles, and all kinds of content that allows me to have that bank to generate order, as well as images and cover structures or formats that even make it easier for me to focus my concentration and focus, I'm also one of those who takes advantage of every spontaneous moment, and when my creative process activates out of nowhere or I focus on a certain activity, I suddenly see it as that sign of good feeling, and I have to execute and take advantage of it.

>Y si bien siempre he dicho que suelo tener una agenda donde escribo ideas sin parar, posibles temas, comunidades, títulos y todo tipo de contenido que me permita tener ese banco para generar un orden, así como imágenes y estructuras de portadas o formatos que incluso me facilitan centrar mi concentración y enfoque, también soy de las que aprovecha cada momento espontáneo y cuando mi proceso creativo se activa de la nada o me enfoco en alguna actividad, de golpe lo veo como esa señal de buen presentimiento y pues la tengo que ejecutar y aprovechar.

Having a free mind and thoughts is something that even prevents us from becoming overwhelmed or having breakdowns that cause anxiety attacks or self-questioning when we don't follow that order. In my case, the fact that I like wo rking with structures but also being spontaneous is something that leads me to maintain a balance, which helps me with my mental health. While I'm someone who doesn't like having breakdowns, I also don't like not having even a shred of control over how I take my steps. Even so, I shouldn't forget that I tend to have constant bouts of anxiety, depression, and ADHD, including migraines, which is what I avoid the most, as they tend to be very severe.

And why do I get all of this?
Well, it's simple, we are human and sometimes I overexert myself so much that I know I tend to go overboard with that structured routine, so much so that I obviously rest, so, beyond giving me those positive results of taking advantage of time and resources, I end up affecting my sleep, mood and even spirits due to everything that is being beyond our limits, so I unintentionally fall into these breaks that become procrastination and, beyond reaching spontaneous focus, I relapse into laziness.

En mi caso, el que me guste trabajar con estructuras pero también ser espontáneo es algo que me lleva a tener un equilibrio para mí, el cual me ayuda con mi salud mental, pues si bien soy alguien que no le gusta tener colapsos, tampoco me gusta no tener aunque sea una pizca de control sobre el cómo doy mis pasos, pero aun así no debo dejar de lado que suelo tener constantes episodios de ansiedad, depresión y tener una condición de TDAH con incluso migrañas, que es lo que más evito, ya que suelen ser muy fuertes.

>¿Y por qué me da todo esto?
Pues simple, somos humanos y a veces me sobreexijo tanto que sé que suelo excederme con esa rutina estructurada, tanto que obvio descansar, por lo que, más allá de darme esos resultados positivos de aprovechar tiempo y recursos, termino afectando mi sueño, humor e incluso ánimos debido a todo lo que es estar más allá de nuestros límites, por lo que caigo sin querer luego en estos descansos que se vuelve procrastinación y, más allá de llegar al enfoque espontáneo, recaigo en la pereza.

So even though I tend to do more than five things at once due to attention deficit, I have to take the time to both organize myself and allow myself to rest and flow at the same time. Beyond establishing them as a routine, I use them as tools in moments when it is necessary. Having things already planned and written down can be useful for those moments when there are no ideas and we wander around looking for inspiration. Just as taking a day to be spontaneous can perhaps give us approaches and ideas that would not have crossed our minds. Therefore, writing them down or executing them generates that joint work in both areas, avoiding in me that fatigue or stress from not following a rhythm or from taking too much and lightens things up.

And, obviously, this will depend on each person, since we are all owners and experts of our mind and way of acting and we will search in our own way for our own method when planning or letting everything flow for our lives, so in my case it is how it works best for me, although sometimes I leave one more than another or sometimes I am more spontaneous for seasons, keeping others very organized, but those in the long run are lessons from which I can take both the positive and the non-negative to continue working on ourselves...

>Y, obviamente, esto dependerá de cada persona, ya que todos somos dueños y conocedores de nuestra mente y forma de actuar y buscaremos a nuestra manera nuestro propio método al momento de planificarnos o dejar que todo fluya para nuestras vidas, por lo que en mi caso es como mejor me funciona, aunque a veces dejo más una que otra o en ocasiones soy más espontánea por temporadas, llevando otras muy organizadas, pero eso a la larga son aprendizajes de los que puedo sacar tanto lo positivo como lo no negativo para seguir trabajando en nosotros mismos…
