June Garden: Weeding, Fertilizing and preparation for harvest
Hello everyone, hello gardeners, I can't express the joy of having a little garden in compound, it's so unexplainable. Certainly, growing a garden is something amazing, though it requires special care and attention compared to cultivating normal farmland, constant weeding, fertilizing and transplanting when necessary. it's a time for weeding, a moment to uproot unwanted plants in order to give room for more ventilation to prevent pesticide too. Gardening demands hard work in taking care of the plants in, weeding is one of the most difficult thing to do as a gardener, practicing or owning a garden requirea constant use of pesticides to prevent insects and other dangerous attacks that would made all your efforts in vain as such, weeding the farm, pests and diseases will attack and destroy the whole effort. I'm operating mixed cropping that's growing two or more crops simultaneously on the same piece of land but monocropping which is growing of a single crop year after year on the same land in the sense that I will cultivate maize first, allow it to grow before planting cassava and okra.

I converted my little garden to corn garden, meanwhile I eating fresh corn as much and I couldn't missed to plant it as well. This maize 🌽 farm which I'm cultivating yearly, maize farm require so much carefulness first, it has to be be weeded three times before it is mature, the weeding weeding is three weeks after planting though it depends on the nature of the land, then the second weeding is after five weeks of planting and the last weeding is when it's almost at maturity, at this point, more soil will packed at the stem to prevent win from falling them down.

IThis is the second weeding and appling fertilizer in order to have great outcome, of course you can see how blossom it is because of timely weeding and manuring the plant promptly. The greenish leaves show how fertilized the soil is, I spread insecticide last week to prevent insect from attacking the maize plants. Though it took me two days to finish the weeding because the farm is a big size but just by the road side and very close to the house, I'm expecting to eat the first set of my corn🌽 in less than one month from now.

Since, I love eating corn 🌽 I took it as a point of duty to be cultivating it twice in a year, of course I'm planting another one just after thses has mature. It is called late planting but it helps to still have fresh corn to eat even when it's not its season or period for it. I'll take you around my garden in my next post and when I've actually harvest them. Thank you for visiting my blog I'm @inibless, the gardener. Please endeavor to tell me how to grow my garden even to a commercial level as I love planting. Enjoy yourself and have a wonderful day.

Hi I hope you are not using too many chemicals. Have you tried to make a varied crop in your garden. I have try to make it organic, with association of crops that are protected from insects, fungi and other diseases?
