Good evening everyone,

It's my first time posting here and I'll love to share my todays experience....

Today, this morning while going about my normal activities, running errands, and carrying the world on my shoulders (metaphorically), this man stopped me in my tracks, he was just sitting somewhere close to the house he lives in.

I passed almost four times that morning and he was sitting right there, giving me this quizzical look every moment I walked (run, though) past.

When he called, I respected him and stopped, thinking he had finally remembered me(I loaded my imaginary gun and got ready to shoot on sight).

After the "good mornings", he started asking like a concerned adult...
"Where are your parents?"
"Why are you not in school?"
"By this time of the day, you're running around, why?"
"What class are you?"
"What's your name?"
All these questions at a go, while staring at me the way you'd do to a JSS 1 student.I kept my calm, told him my name and answered that I'm a university undergraduate.

The shock on his face spoke a million words.
Sir sized me up.
Looked at me as though to say "as small as you are."
I felt a bit uncomfortable and embarrassed as well
I had to repeat the university undergraduate for clarity sake because that might have skipped his mind
He thought I'm still in secondary school, not even SS 3 or 2😂
Buh when he was convinced,
He buckled up and started acting as if he were speaking to an undergraduate (i wanted that, but at some point I wished it never happened)
He continued
"Don't call me sir, call me Val"
(I feel pity for his wife and children)😂 because i knew where he was driving at
I gave him the side eyes.👀
And, trust me, I responded with a smirk "ALRIGHT, SIR."

Whatever happened after the revelation wasn't my problem, but my size...😭

I left that place with mixed feelings.😔
1. I am happy that I'm small.
2. I am not happy that I'm small.

I'm not a short person.
I'm tall
But, am I that tiny?
Am I even growing again?
I can still fit into my secondary school uniforms perfectly when I'm in my 300level in the university
All the clothes I wore six years ago still suit me perfectly.
Am I aging backwards?
How can someone  see me and imagine a SS2 student?
Funny but I'm used to this tho

That's how my day was ruined from the start,
I wished i looked older in size🥺
