As part of the contest to hivefest, I decided to make an analysis with the price of bitcoin and that of hive token to see if there is any form of relationship between them. An indication of relationship tells that the hive has a linkage in price with bitcoin which shall improve in the future. In the course of this article, I am using the SPSS software for analysis and shall present my objectives in the next section below. Objectives of the study In the course of this study, I intend to cover the following: Analysis Of Bitcoin Price With Date Analysis Of Hive Price With Date. Bitcoin Versus Hive Maximum and Minimum Price Of Bitcoin and Hive. View modes of Bitcoin And Hive. Correlation Analysis Of Bitcoin And Hive. Conclusion Analysis Of Bitcoin Price With Date The chart below present the highest and lowest price trend for bitcoin from 4th of June – 22nd of July, 2022. It can be seen that there was a pump in hive price above $0.6 in June 29, 2022. <center> Photo By Me </center> Bitcoin Versus Hive The chart for bitcoin and hive can be seen below. It is visible that there is a form of positive relationship meaning as the price of bitcoin goes high, the price of hive also pumps at medium rate. <center> Photo By Me </center> This is an indication of a progressive relationship of bitcoin’s price with that of hive token and it’s believed there is a tendency for an increased relationship in the future. Maximum and Minimum Price Of Bitcoin and Hive. <center> Photo By Me </center> The maximum and minimum price of both assets is as seen below. View modes of Bitcoin And Hive The view modes of both token is presented below. The first is the variable view mode which allows entry of variables e.g. dates, price of bitcoin and price of hive. <center> Photo By Me </center> The data view mode allows entry of price of both crypto and can be seen below. <center> Photo By Me </center> Correlation Analysis Of Bitcoin And Hive The analysis of correlation determines to extent to which the relationship exist between bitcoin and hive price. It can be a weak, strong or an average relationship. This model was invented by Karl Pearson, a statistician. The relationship could also be a positive, negative or zero type. It is positive when the price of bitcoin pumps and that of hive pumps at a certain rate and vice versa. It tends towards the +1 axis. The relationship could be negative when the price of bitcoin pumps, that of hive token also dump and vice versa. It tends towards a -1 axis. A zero relationship is an indication of no relationship at all. Before we examine the type of relationship that exist between both tokens, let’s examine the scatter dot diagram. From the scatter dot diagram, we can see a form of positive relationship. Result <center> Photo By Me </center> From the analysis of correlation, the coefficient of relationship between both asset is (r = 0.407). This indicates there is a positive relationship at medium strength. As the price of bitcoin pumps at a certain rate that of hive also will pump at a medium or average rate compared to that of bitcoin. <center> Photo By Me </center> Conclusion This article has been able to analyze the price relationship statistics with interpreted data between hive and bit coin’s price.
