I've been talking to people... MUAHAHAHAA! ...noooot true because I'm an introvert and I hate talking to people! So I've been talking with myself and we both agree that this is awesome! What is, you may ask. Well, isn't it obvious? Do I really need to say it? Write it? Can't you guess it? Oh alright. I'll tell you.

I have finally, after about 10 years of living in this apartment, in this building, gotten a weekly sauna reservation for one hour from the sauna that's in this building for all the residents. The deputy landlord has added a second sauna day. I've been asking and begging for a second sauna day (Saturday) for years, because there was nothing available for Friday. Woo-hoo!

I don't have a sauna of my own in my apartment. It could be possible, many do have, but unfortunately I don't. Before this I occasionally used public saunas and of course invited myself to my moms home and to friends houses. (...only those who have saunas all others that do not have saunas are dead to me.) But it's not the same. I have to put clothes on after coming out of the sauna. Now I can just wear a bathrobe or wrap a towel around me and quickly step in to the elevator, go downstairs, step in to the sauna and come back. And if I'm quick enough, I don't think the bathrobe is really that necessary. Or a towel. I can air-dry myself when taking those few steps because in Finland we have this mutual understanding to avoid being in the staircase or in the elevator when someone else is already there. So clothes not necessary, only flip flops are vital.

So every Saturday evening from now on, I am spending one hour at sauna, relaxing, making excessive amounts of bubbles from soap, gliding on the wide and slippery shower floor, playing with my rubber ducks and NOT CLEANING ANY OF THE HAIR THAT IS WASHED TO THE FLOOR DRAIN! I am just going to leave it there.

There are only long haired people living in this apartment with me and I have the shortest hair. No, you guessed wrong. None of us are metal music consumers or huge fans of it, although we are all Finns and long haired. My opinion is that it's just music among all the other music, not better or worse. Just is.

Anyway, because of the amount of hair we and our cats together have, the shower floor drain is clogged pretty quickly. No, my cats don't use the shower if you were wondering. The drain pipe from the washing machine goes to the same floor drain. So it's clogged very easily. And guess who usually ends up cleaning it. Yes. I do. It's all because I see things differently than the others living here. When I see flood, others see someone else than them dealing with it. Unfortunately for me that someone else seems to be me.

But now, once a week, I do not have to do that. That is a huge thing to me. You know how important it is if you are the one cleaning all the hair from the floor drains in your house. Or (gaging...) the one having to dig deeper. You know what I'm talking about. You are my kindred spirit. You feel my pain and now you also feel my utter joy. Everyone else: go fork yourself.
