Thanks for encouraging people to actually engage with a post and not just mindlessly vote. I'm hoping to be able to use steemit as a place to explore ideas and have intelligent, thought provoking conversation. Hopefully it evolves into a community like [Hubski](http://hubski.com) which does a pretty good job at weeding out the garbage.

Yes. I see so many new users just up voting without a reply.  They will be surprised when someone rewards a reply with like $20.... I would be surprised as well!
