Everyone pretends this isn't happening, and they never talk about it. Days and weeks flip by and nothing seems to change.

I'm going to attract trolls with this post, and I already know that... so trolls with superiority complexes that love trolling people who talk from the heart... Go ahead, leave comments. So after I say what I want to say, I fully expect a bunch of garbage from many trolls (and some keen and cunning comments from intelligent people too)

With that being said...

I've heard phrases like "everyday is a new day"

"The rest of your life can start tomorrow..."

"Stop repeating the same behavior NOW, and get a new outcome..."

All of these phrases are true. However, they are only true to a point.

How many times do you hear these:

There is only so many hours in a day to get stuff done. I wish each day was 48 hours instead of 24

I'm not feeling up to it. My mind and the way I feel isn't right. Maybe tomorrow

I've been working on this a long time and will continue to do so.. I just need to find the time and energy to do it

Give me another day. Give me another week. Not today. Maybe tomorrow. Before the end of the month..

I promise myself I will "get there".. and I mean that.. I believe in what I can do, and want to do.. it isn't happening fast enough, so I will keep trying.

Now to be blunt, none of these things I've said are reasonable execuses to explain why you aren't where you want to be in life, or what you want to do in life. None of these things explain why you aren't paid what you're worth, or why you deserve less than you are worth.

All of us, me, you, and the person next door, are worth more, and would be valued more, if we were doing what we should be doing, or get paid to do what we're good at..

Unfortunately, that is not the way the world works. The world works in a seemingly stupid way. Lie, cheat, and steal, and you're good temporarily... but sooner than you expect, that blows up in your face.

So when someone passes you by on the road, with a pickup, lifted 4", brand new, with two quads on the back, and towing a boat. That's what you saw today. Check back in two years, and they might be in jail, or their assets were reposessed and they no longer own either.

Don't let what "seemingly" looks like everyone else is doing great and you're not. It's an illusion or mirage that we all see.. Some are.. most aren't.

So what advice do I have to give you?

The point is, that life doesn't seem to change fast enough. Especially these days, during a downed economy, political turmoil, countries at odds with one another. I feel it too..

Most people are treading water as long as they can.. and living day-to-day. It use to be living paycheck-to-paycheck. Sometimes it's living day-to-day, and that's the way a lot of people are working now. I'm not talking a couple hundred people. I mean the people you are shopping next to in the grocery store.. the people you stand in line behind at the post office.

None one is talking about their depression or hardship, but it's there.

Want to know how I know that?

Here's an example. I was shopping at a grocery store, and some of the grocery prices were inflated really noticably. I mentioned something to the cashier (unfortunately they usually get that type of conversation eventhough they have NOTHING to do with the way things they are priced)

She turned to me, and said "Listen. I work here, and get a discount, but even I can't afford to shop in the same grocery store that I work at... The prices are too high here"

What does that say? The employees with a discount can't even shop in their own store?!

That's it. It's a sign of the times. Life doesn't seem to change fast enough. But there is always hope for the future.

I listened to a woman on the radio who lived through the great depression. She use to call it the hungry 30's. She said, we didn't have a lot of options. So one night we'd have "potatoes and eggs". The next night for dinner, we'd change things up a little and have "eggs and potatoes"...

Sounds silly. But when you're down to only 3 or 4 ingredients, you either make more eggs, or more potatoes.

Most of us aren't at that point. But this same woman, born 1920 is still alive at the age of 96, and that is what she ate during that period..

So unless our diets are soley made up of eggs and potatoes right now (and even if that was the case).. we can weather this economic storm.

Life isn't rosey right now. But it will eventually get better... It always does (as history as taught us)...

Does any of this resonate with you? Do you feel the circle of life? How many times do you feel like today is quite similar to the same day 2 weeks ago? No further ahead? Bills still there?

Some are loving this time and making good money at it...

Most of us hate this time.. and can't wait for something to change..

...now.. bring on the trolls. "wait for something to change" You suck they'll say...

Answering the trolls:

Fine, there's 100's of you. Not millions. The millions want to see a major shift in the economy where everyone can make fast money again. When the economy is doing well, everyone does well..

I'm tired of watching bankruptcies. Sears, nearly out of business. I watched a 50 year old company in Windows & Doors go out of business. I could name about 10 major corporations that went of business in the last 10 years. This isn't just hitting the small folk. It's hitting everyone, big or small...

Trump might accidentally do well with this, or maybe he won't. But the time for change is now.

So don't kid yourself. People show fake wealth all the time.

You have no idea whether or not those new cars down your street in driveways are 1 or 2 payments away from being repossessed, or who is late on their rent or mortgage payment. Proud people we are... we're all in the same rut right now. Most of us are, anyway...

Myself? I'm an entrepreneur, and a good one at that.. Problem is.. my customers keep going out of business...

I want to hear what you have to say. Is it just you going through this.. or do you suspect your super secret neighbors are too.. they just won't tell you?
