Architect Blaine looked up. Sure enough, the beast in question was perched on an apparently vertical expanse. Sniffing and licking the otherwise plain concrete. There were distant specks further up that also had to be goats.
"NO! We used the best satellite and laser technology! This was computer aided in every single step. This is impossible!"
"So," said Contractor Arde, "None of you took out a spirit level at any time?"
Blaine sneered down their nose at Arde. "_This_ is a work about the _pinnacle_ of technology. A _monument_ to progress! No need for stone-age tools at all. Computers! Lasers! Artificial Intelligence! Every ninety degree angle measured with the most advanced technology that humanity could concoct. No physical tools beyond the construction machinery. It was meant to be perfect... _Perfect_."
Arde reached into a deep pocket and pulled out a child's 30-60 set square, and attempted to fit the right angle between the floor and the wall. "Maybe if you _had_ pulled out one, you'd have known about this before the first floor started in."
"Well it's too late to do anything about it now," said Blaine. "How the hell am I meant to be covering my ass about _this_?"
"Call it art?" suggested Arde. "And -eh- maybe tone down the mention of AI? You should have known from the get-go that it couldn't be perfect with _that_ slop factory involved."
Blaine looked up at the goats. "Art. A melding of technology and nature? Becoming one with the mountains and cliffs?"
"Good start," said Arde. "I'm going to go make certain that the structural supports are actually doing that."
All things considered - a very good call.
