Tracing the Middle Ages in Dourdan (Part 8)

This visit to Dourdan will stay in our memories.
Everything was pleasant — the architecture, the life, the atmosphere... A beautiful sense of harmony could be felt everywhere. Nothing flashy, just a real sense of ease and balance.

The castle, impressive without being overwhelming, fits perfectly into the landscape. The old stone, the light, the well-preserved details — everything felt authentic.

It felt like a town on a human scale, lively without being hectic, peaceful without being dull. People seemed at home, simply content. And so did we.

Cette visite de Dourdan restera dans nos mémoires.
Tout y était agréable : l’architecture, la vie, l’atmosphère… Une belle harmonie se dégageait de l’ensemble. Rien de tape-à-l’œil, juste une vraie douceur de vivre.

Le château, imposant sans être écrasant, s’intègre parfaitement dans le paysage. La pierre ancienne, la lumière, les petits détails bien conservés… tout respirait l’authenticité.

On a senti une ville à taille humaine, vivante sans agitation, paisible sans être endormie. Les gens semblaient chez eux, simplement bien. Et nous aussi, on s’est sentis à notre place.
