Impossible de ne pas voir le château des Ducs d'Alençon en plein centre ville.
Ce château-fort a été construit entre les 14<sup>ème</sup> et 15<sup>ème</sup> siècle par Jean 1<sup>er</sup>.
Il est à noter que la ville d'***Alençon*** a racheté ce vestige en 2018 après plusieurs années de négociations avec l'Etat.
