I had promised her that I would bring her to the park just down the street from our apartment block once the rain stopped. I was hoping that the rain would never stopped or at least until the sunsets. Recollecting myself and sitting up on the bed, I told myself that I must've dozed off and taken a nap longer than expected. I was in a nursing home or have been for several years now. Looking down on my wrinkled hands, I remembered that specific day. That day where I lost it all. I was Mommy. I had a baby girl and I lost her.
