Daisy could walk alone without any risk...

Daisy strolled every morning and afternoon along the new path. She enjoyed sitting on the benches to listen to the chirping of the birds and watch the swaying of the leaves on the trees.

There was only one detail that kept upsetting her, the time to drink her coffee. There was no way for Robert to take it into account, the boy only thought about himself, he spent most of his time hiding anywhere playing video games on his cell phone. Sometimes the old lady would go almost the whole day without taking even a small sip. 

The grandmother kept nagging the grandson, but the boy didn't care.

Once Robert went so far as to hide Grandma's coffee. When Daisy asked him to make her a cup, the boy replied that there was no more. The old lady knew very well that her son had left a sufficient supply of coffee until he returned again...

The old woman weighed her options, she did not want to bother her son by asking him to make a trip just to bring more coffee. She remembered that among the improvements made to the house was an automated system that worked with voice commands and served, among other things, to turn off the electricity. Only she and her son knew the code.

Night came and the darkness was total, Daisy locked herself in her room and enjoyed looking at the starry sky through the window. Robert was terrified. Since he was a child he had been terrified of the dark and out there in the field the sounds outside made his imagination fill with menacing creatures. At midnight the boy was crying inconsolably, calling loudly for his grandmother, but the old woman resisted the temptation to comfort him... Until exhaustion overcame the boy.

The next morning Daisy went for her usual walk, tired from the bad night the grandson had put her through. On her way back she smelled a familiar odor. She walked into the kitchen and there was Robert, with teary eyes offering her a cup of coffee. Grandma set it aside and hugged the grandson. Thinking that maybe the boy had learned his lesson...
