Son muy pocos los emprendedores que pueden contar con el beneficio de la exclusividad, la gran mayoría desarrolla sus negocios en entornos de alta competencia. En tales condiciones es vital dar a conocer el bien que producimos y se constituye en todo un reto conectar el producto con el cliente. 

Los que tienen más capital pueden usar estrategias como la publicidad en medios de difusión masivos como radio y TV. También se pueden usar las  redes sociales y el mercadeo directo en sus diferentes modalidades. La amiga Damarys nos recuerda una de estas modalidades del mercadeo directo, las muestras…

En mi experiencia como consumidor son muchas las veces en que he decidido comprar algún producto luego de haber conocido o probado alguna muestra.

Hace algún tiempo cuando mi madre vivía en mi misma ciudad  era yo quien la llevaba a hacer sus compras en el mercado principal. La mayoría de las veces mi  intención  era solo acompañarla, casi nunca planificaba hacer mis compras en ese mercado, me gustaba más ir a otro sitio. Sin embargo, muchas veces terminaba comprando alguna cosa. La razón era muy sencilla, en la mayoría de los puestos los vendedores ofrecían muestras de lo que vendían y yo mordía el anzuelo…

Había una señora que hacía dulces caseros muy sabrosos. Ella preparaba una bandeja muy bonita  con pequeñas porciones de todo lo que había llevado ese día para la venta. Cuando uno pasaba frente a ella lo detenía con una amable sonrisa y  la mano extendida acompañada de la palabra ¡Pruébelo…! Su manera de ofrecer la muestra resultaba realmente irresistible y eran muy pocos los que probaban el producto y no compraban. Yo siempre llevaba algunos dulces para mi familia y para mí…

Igual sucedía cuando pasábamos por el sector de los quesos. Todos los vendedores ofrecían en la punta de un cuchillo una muestra de los diferentes quesos que tenían. Mi madre los probaba todos y al final decidía cuál comprar, el que fuese menos salado  y  estuviese más fresco. ¡Llévate un pedazo…! Me decía mi madre…¡Está buenísimo…! Remataba. Y yo que no tenía pensado comprar queso terminaba comprándolo también. 

Hace poco estaba haciendo mis compras en el supermercado. De pronto vi una aglomeración de gentes, me picó la curiosidad. Fui al sitio y vi que se trataba de unas muchachas muy lindas ofreciendo  porciones de pizzas. Estaban promocionando unas grandes pizzas congeladas, que incluían la base con mezcla de salsa de tomate y mozzarella. Las muchachas preparaban en el acto diferentes combinaciones de pizza en un pequeño horno eléctrico, muy parecido al que yo tengo en mi casa. Una de las muchachas fue muy amable y me explicó cómo hacerlas en el horno y en sartén…

Desde ese día cada vez que paso por ese supermercado me llevó algunas de esas pizzas para tenerlas en el congelador y prepararlas en cualquier ocasión. Es una opción muy versátil, sobre todo para domingos por la tarde cuando uno descansa y ve la televisión.

Les dejo otro ejemplo de un rublo distinto a los alimentos. Desde hace unos meses en un centro comercial de los que suelo visitar se han instalado un grupo de muchachos. Todos andan uniformados con franelas que llevan impreso el logo de su producto. Ellos promocionan un spray que sirve para limpiar los vehículos sin necesidad de usar agua. Su estrategia de venta es muy sencilla, explican las bondades del producto y se ofrecen a limpiar una pequeña parte del carro. Son muchos los que compran el spray y otros tantos los que les dicen que terminen de limpiar el carro mientras pasean por el centro comercial.

Dar pequeñas muestras de nuestros productos es una estrategia bastante inteligente que puede llegar a ser muy efectiva. Lo mejor es que requiere poca inversión…

There are very few entrepreneurs who can count on the benefit of exclusivity, most of them develop their businesses in highly competitive environments. In such conditions it is vital to make known the good we produce and it is a challenge to connect the product with the customer. 

Those who have more capital can use strategies such as advertising in mass media such as radio and TV. You can also use social networks and direct marketing in its different modalities. Our friend Damarys reminds us of one of these modalities of direct marketing, the samples...

In my experience as a consumer, there are many times when I have decided to buy a product after having seen or tried a sample.

Some time ago, when my mother lived in the same city as me, I was the one who took her shopping at the main market. Most of the time my intention was just to accompany her, I almost never planned to do my shopping in that market, I liked to go somewhere else. However, many times I ended up buying something. The reason was very simple, in most of the stalls the vendors offered samples of what they were selling and I would take the bait...

There was a lady who made very tasty homemade sweets. She would prepare a very nice tray with small portions of everything she had brought that day for sale. When you passed in front of her she would stop you with a kind smile and an outstretched hand accompanied by the word "Try it...! Her way of offering the sample was really irresistible and there were very few who tried the product and did not buy. I always brought some candy for my family and myself...

The same thing happened when we passed by the cheese sector. All the vendors would offer a sample of the different cheeses they had on the end of a knife. My mother would try them all and at the end she would decide which one to buy, the one that was less salty and fresher. Take a piece...! My mother would tell me... It's delicious...! she finished off. And I, who was not planning to buy cheese, ended up buying it too. 

Recently I was shopping at the supermarket. Suddenly I saw a crowd of people, I was curious. I went to the place and saw that there were some very pretty girls offering pizza slices. They were promoting some large frozen pizzas, which included the base with tomato sauce and mozzarella mix. The girls were preparing different pizza combinations on the spot in a small electric oven, much like the one I have at home. One of the girls was very kind and explained to me how to make them in the oven and in frying pan...

Since that day, every time I go to that supermarket I take some of those pizzas with me to have them in the freezer and prepare them for any occasion. It is a very versatile option, especially for Sunday afternoons when you are resting and watching TV.

I leave you with another example of a ruble other than food. A few months ago, a group of guys set up shop in one of the shopping malls I usually visit. They are all wearing uniforms with their product logos printed on them. They promote a spray that can be used to clean vehicles without using water. Their sales strategy is very simple, they explain the benefits of the product and offer to clean a small part of the car. Many people buy the spray and many others tell them to finish cleaning the car while they walk around the mall.

Giving small samples of our products is a very smart strategy that can be very effective. The best thing is that it requires little investment...

Todas son una excelente estrategia de promoción de productos, con solo probar y al recibir un buena atención, ya uno se convence de comprar el producto. A veces me ha pasado que compro el queso llanero y resulta que es muy salado, algunos comerciantes se molestan cuando uno le pide para probar el producto, saludos amigo.

Es verdad, algunos comerciantes se molestan pero hay productos que no se pueden comprar si antes no se prueban, me pasa con las pasitas y el maní, a veces están pasados de tiempo. Gracias por pasar y comentar estimado @cetb2008. Bendiciones para la familia.
