Todos hemos pasado por la escuela tradicional, aquella donde un maestro se reúne con sus pupilos y entre cuatro paredes hablan sobre un conocimiento que generalmente  es obsoleto. Ese esquema, que fue muy adecuado para la formación de los jóvenes, ya es insuficiente para  el acelerado ritmo de la actualidad.

En los tiempos que vivimos el conocimiento se genera con extremada rapidez, lo que puede ser válido para hoy,  no lo es para mañana. En ese contexto las personas necesitan desarrollar nuevas habilidades que le permitan aprender sobre la marcha; la adquisición de  nuevas rutinas cognitivas es importante para que el  cerebro aprenda de manera más dinámica.

La adaptación a una realidad tan cambiante requiere que las personas desarrollen mucha autonomía en sus procesos de aprendizaje, cada quien tiene que desarrollar la habilidad para poder procesar grandes volúmenes de información de manera eficaz. El gran reto de la educación del futuro es preparar a las personas para que sean capaces de navegar en un gran océano de información y poder salir airosos de esa travesía.

La manera como hacemos las cosas en HIVE contribuye en mucho a fortalecer esas habilidades necesarias para la educación del futuro. Cada vez que nos conectamos a nuestra red social entramos en un mundo donde predomina el dinamismo, donde permanentemente estamos obligados a innovar, a buscar nuevas soluciones, a encontrar la manera de entusiasmar a nuestros lectores.

>The way we do things at HIVE contributes greatly to strengthening those skills needed for future education. Every time we connect to our social network we enter a world where dynamism predominates, where we are constantly forced to innovate, to seek new solutions, to find ways to excite our readers.  

Participar de una actividad tan dinámica va dejando su huella en nuestros procesos de aprendizaje. A diferencia de lo que ocurre en la escuela convencional, donde aprendemos a ser conservadores con lo que hemos aprendido, en HIVE vamos asumiendo la búsqueda de la novedad como un componente fundamental de nuestra actividad. Para los hivers lo normal es estar permanentemente en la búsqueda de la innovación. Cada publicación es un pequeño reto donde cada quién quiere dejar algo nuevo. 

>Participating in such a dynamic activity leaves its mark on our learning processes. Unlike what happens in conventional schools, where we learn to be conservative with what we have learned, in HIVE we assume the search for novelty as a fundamental component of our activity. For the hivers, it is normal to be permanently in search of innovation. Each publication is a small challenge where everyone wants to leave something new.

Creo que en todo lo que hacemos logramos algún aprendizaje, me parece importante que los jóvenes le dediquen tiempo a las redes sociales, allí algo les va quedando. Sin embargo, no tengo la menor duda que la potencialidad de HIVE para mejorar la educación de los nuevos tiempos supera por mucho a la de las otras redes sociales. 

>I think that in everything we do we achieve some learning, I think it is important that young people devote time to social networks, there they have something left. However, I have no doubt that the potential of HIVE to improve the education of the new times far exceeds that of other social networks. 

La gran diferencia  entre HIVE y el resto de las redes sociales, es que en las otras   los jóvenes pueden pasar el tiempo tonteando en una actividad poco productiva desde el punto de vista intelectual. En HiVE, por el contrario, el que viene a tontear tiene pocas probabilidades de alcanzar el éxito, aquí la recompensa  se obtiene por la dedicación, el esfuerzo y la originalidad de los  aportes. No hay duda que HIVE sí es un espacio enteramente educativo.

>The big difference between HIVE and the rest of the social networks is that in the other ones young people can spend their time fooling around in an activity that is not very productive from the intellectual point of view. In HiVE, on the contrary, the one who comes to fool around has little chance of success, here the reward is obtained for the dedication, effort and originality of the contributions.
