##### **El ponche crema una tradición venezolana**
>"Prendan la luz que es diciembre" así comienza una bella parranda navideña escrita por el maestro Otilio Galíndez, en dónde se refleja el verdadero espíritu de alegría y compartir que embarga a la familia venezolana en esta época decembrina, un sentimiento que va intrínsecamente ligado a tradiciones que llevan años pasando de generación en generación y que se han convertido en parte fundamental de nuestra identidad cultural. Particularmente podría nombrar muchas tradiciones que durante este mes se llevan a cabo en mi casa, pero hay una en específico qué ha marcado de forma indeleble mi manera de ver la navidad y el año nuevo, se trata de la elaboración del ponche crema.
>El ponche crema es una bebida alcohólica típica de la gastronomía venezolana, está compuesta a base de licor preferiblemente ron, leche y otros aditivos que le dan una textura cremosa con sabor dulce. Suele servirse en vasos, preferiblemente frío o con hielo, es una bebida que suele acompañar reuniones decembrinas entre familiares y amigos ya que se adapta a todos los gustos y a cualquier momento del día.
>En mi casa el ponche crema estaba presente durante muchos años y era elaborado principalmente para consumirlo en casa y regalarlo a familiares y amigos, pero hace aproximadamente 6 años gracias a la enseñanza de mi madre aprendí a hacerlo y debido al gran éxito que siempre tenía en aquellas personas que lo aprobaban decide incursionar en el mundo del emprendimiento y es a partir de ese momento cuando nuestro ponche crema comenzaría ser fabricado una mayor escala, esta vez con fines comerciales.
>Tradicionalmente su sabor suele ser de vainilla, pero con el pasar del tiempo y evaluando los gustos de los clientes decidí desarrollar dos nuevas versiones, dando como resultado una de chocolate y otra de café, cuyo éxito fue instantáneo, es así como está tradición ha marcado mi vida de forma definitiva, ya que pasó de un ámbito totalmente familiar para ser compartido con muchas personas en la época de diciembre.
>Es importante resaltar que sin importar en la escala en que este ponche crema sea producido siempre tiene el mismo toque, el mismo sabor y la misma textura que mis antepasados conocieron, ya que para mí siempre ha sido importante mantener la calidad y con ello garantizar que esta tradición familiar siga intacta y estoy seguro de que los conocimientos seguirán pasando de generación en generación dando beneficios y felicidad a mis descendientes.

In particular, I could name many traditions that are carried out in my house during this month, but there is one in specific that has indelibly marked my way of seeing Christmas and the New Year, it is the making of cream punch.
>The cream punch is a typical alcoholic drink of Venezuelan gastronomy, it is composed of liquor based preferably rum, milk and other additives that give it a creamy texture with a sweet flavor. It is usually served in glasses, preferably cold or with ice, it is a drink that usually accompanies December gatherings between family and friends since it adapts to all tastes and at any time of the day.
>In my house, cream punch was present for many years and was made mainly to be consumed at home and given to family and friends, but about 6 years ago, thanks to my mother's teaching, I learned how to do it and due to the great success that I always had in Those people who approved it decided to venture into the world of entrepreneurship and it is from that moment that our cream punch would begin to be manufactured on a larger scale, this time for commercial purposes.
>Traditionally, its flavor is usually vanilla, but as time went by and evaluating the tastes of the clients I decided to develop two new versions, resulting in one of chocolate and the other of coffee, whose success was instantaneous, that is how this tradition has marked my life in a definitive way, since it went from a totally familiar environment to be shared with many people in December.
>It is important to note that regardless of the scale in which this cream punch is produced, it always has the same touch, the same flavor and the same texture that my ancestors knew, since for me it has always been important to maintain quality and thus guarantee that This family tradition remains intact and I am sure that the knowledge will continue to pass from generation to generation giving benefits and happiness to my descendants.
