<div class="text-justify">Attending to Amazing Nature's contest about Surprises, I want to share with you some pictures I took of a fly that I saved by chance and whose colors surprised me a lot.</div>
><div class="text-justify">Atendiendo al concurso de Amazing Nature sobre sorpresas, quiero compartirles unas fotografías que tomé de una mosca que salvé por casualidad y cuyos colores me sorprendieron. </div>
<div class="text-justify">I approached the container I have for the birds to drink water and i noticed that there was a small yellow insect floating on the water, it looked dead, so with a dry leaf I took it out of the water and observed it, I could quickly notice the similarity of its head with that of the common fly, after observing it for about 1 minute I noticed that it began to make small movements, it was alive, so i came up with blowing it gently to dry its body. It didn't take long for it to make more noticeable movements, it started to move its legs and finally stood up. </div>
><div class="text-justify">Me acerqué al recipiente que tengo para que las aves beban agua y noté que había un pequeño insecto amarillo flotando allí, parecía muerto, así que con una hoja seca lo saqué del agua y lo observé, pude notar rápidamente la similitud de su cabeza con la de la mosca común, después de observarla durante 1 minuto noté que empezó a hacer pequeños movimientos, estaba viva, por lo que se me ocurrió soplarla suavemente para que se secara su cuerpo. No tardó en hacer movimientos más notables, empezó a mover sus patas y finalmente se levantó. </div>

<div class="text-justify">Once it was dry enough to move easily, it began to rub its legs against its body and wings, I was surprised to see the way it folded its wings so it could rub them against its legs, and it rubbed its head and eyes frequently.</div>
><div class="text-justify">Una vez que estuvo suficientemente seca para moverse con facilidad, empezó a frotar sus patas contra su cuerpo y contra sus alas, me sorprendió ver la manera en que doblaba sus alas para poder frotarlas con sus patas, de igual forma frotaba con frecuencia su cabeza y sus ojos. </div>
<div class="text-justify">it was interesting the time it spent drying its body and the movements it made to do so, especially the movements of its wings.</div>
><div class="text-justify">Me resultó muy curioso el tiempo que dedicó para secar su cuerpo y los movimientos que hacía para ello, sobre todo los movimientos de sus alas. </div>
<div class="text-justify">What I found most surprising about this fly was the color of its eyes, a gradient between purple, green, orange and yellow, as well as the yellow color of its body and the shape of its tail or posterior part, very different from that of common flies.</div>
><div class="text-justify">Lo que más me sorprendió de esta mosca fue el color de sus ojos, un degradado entre morado, verde, naranja y amarillo, así como el color amarillo de su cuerpo y la forma de su cola o parte posterior, muy distinta a la de las moscas comunes. </div>
<div class="text-justify">This fly preened for about 15 minutes, and once it felt completely dry it took flight.</div>
><div class="text-justify">Esta mosca se acicaló durante aproximadamente 15 minutos, y una vez se sintió completamente seca levantó vuelo. </div>
<div class="text-justify">About this fly I was able to find out on the internet that its scientific name is Anastrepha fraterculus and it is known as "South American fruit fly". There is not lot of information about it, but it can be pointed out that it prefers fleshy and soft fruits to lay its eggs, which would explain its presence on the balcony of my house, where bananas are frequently placed for birds.</div>
><div class="text-justify">Acerca de esta mosca pude averiguar en Internet que su nombre científico es Anastrepha fraterculus y se le conoce como ·"Mosca sudamericana de los frutos". Sobre ella no dice mucho, pero se puede destacar que para colocar sus huevos prefiere las frutas carnosas y blandas, lo que explicaría su presencia en el balcón de mi casa, donde se colocan con frecuencia bananas para las aves. </div>
<div class="text-justify">Although I had about 15 minutes to take pictures of it, it was a bit difficult to focus because of its small size.</div>
><div class="text-justify">A pesar de que tuve aproximadamente 15 minutos para tomarle fotografías, resultó un tanto difícil de enfocar por su pequeño tamaño. </div>
