Aside from the emus and wombats mentioned in the previous post, the more frequently seen animals on my road trips in Australia, you guessed it, are kangroos. 

Kangroos running along the roadside in the wild are not uncommon, and the head photo you see here was taken when we almost collided with one that jumped across the road. We were driving through an arid region in southern New South Wales at the time.

The day before, in the same area, we came across some roads covered in 'hairy panic' tumbleweed. This plant is native to that region and can be found in pasture fields. The dried-out stems are easily picked up by the wind and carried along to form dense patches.

除了上次提到的鸸鹋和袋熊，在澳大利亚公路旅行中更常见的动物，应该要算袋鼠了。

袋鼠在野外的路边奔跑并不罕见，而这里分享的题图照片是一只横穿马路差点撞车的袋鼠。当时我们正开车穿越新南威尔士州南部的一片干旱地区，这只袋鼠猝不及防地就从马路一侧跳出来，跃过车前。说时迟那时快，等我反应过来抓起相机已经有点晚了，拍出来的照片一片动态模糊。。。

前一天在同一块地区，还看到马路上覆盖着毛茸茸的风滚草。当地人称这种植物为"Hairy Panic"，真是形象呢! 那里的牧场里有种植，因为干燥轻巧，很容易被风刮起来，形成密集的一大团。当时的新闻上还说附近有些住户的房子被这大团的干草包围，连进家门都很困难。

I don't remember what mode it was then (5 years ago), probably aperture priority as I shot some plants earlier. Should have used faster shutter speed or panning if I knew this would happen.
