I've been away from Hive for a little while and missed the previous two animal-themed Deranged Photography Contest themes.

Now I see that this week's theme is black and white. Derangedvisions hosts these contests on Liketu, with a new theme each week. Check them out if you want to join in on the fun! (There were no watermarks anymore when I just uploaded photos to Liketu... is this an update?)

I've previously expressed my love for black-and-white photography, and I especially like doing some of the street shots in monochrome. The subjects' stories are better told without the distractions of color.

So, in order to participate in this contest, I'm sharing a collection of my street captures from various locations. They are all focused on small business owners or employees, as well as potential (or not ;)) customers.
