DW choses obytes to host Future

Well... This post is not a rant, just some questions...

Why did @drugwars chose obyte.io to host their newly created token "FUTURE"
I must admit I do not have the slightest idea.

1- it's DAG ( or Bc3.0 if you prefer) we, as steemians, almost never use.
2- There are fees for anything you wanna do, and those fees are not in FUTURE, no, you need to get somehow those bytes to be able to use your future.
3- Their exchange bot is still in BETA, not even able to treat partial orders, while you as buyer don't know if your order is partial or fully fillable, which multiplies fees...
4- If you place an order, the fees are taken, even if it never completes, even if you cancel the order...

When you know it is possible to  create a 0 xfr fee token on STEEM, I am really asking the question : WHY OBYTE?

Also, why requesting to attest our obyte account, while an address is enough to make a transfer, encode once your address in DW and job would have been done.

I do not complain for the fee value, I know it's peanuts, but when I explained my point to obytes admin, he got my point :
Let say : I got 5 future... I find a merchant selling an appel for 5 future, so I decide to buy it...
With obyte I cannot, because obyte wants a fee in bytes which I never want to hear about ... Why should I need to buy some?

Their support guy failed to understand my point... but ok, the admin got it...

So please, can someone explain me why obyte? I could get used to it and maybe love it if there is a **Really Good Reason** behind it...

On the positive side, I believe that attestation through the Steem bot will get users $20 if you have a rep of >60, $160 if >70 - at least that is what it says.  Obviously enough to trade your FUTURE tokens, I think the trading cost is going to be in pennies for like 20k tokens.  I'm sitting at 32 REP for which you no longer get a byte drop.  If anyone wants to take mercy on me and send like  200k bytes, I will repay with upvotes.

Hopefully!  And yes, it isn't fun to have a bunch of tokens I can't trade because I lack the obytes, your post was spot on.  Also, I realize that the steem/obyte (byteball, whatever it was called) drop has been around for months, but the Future  token drop will probably get a bunch of steemians to install the obyte wallet and perhaps they will have a happy surprise if their rep is high enough.

Seems only a small amount of Obyte is required to use FUTURE.  There is an Obyte bot where Gbytes can be obtained just by answering and voting on questions like this:

I really could not tell how many hours I play, the tab is open as long as I am on my machine lol ;) But of course I do plenty of others things in the same time, it's less intrusive than WOW for example ;)

For the bytes amount., as shown in example, I am not talking about the value of the fees, just the principle ;)

I see the principle issue with a fee that seems to have suddenly appeared.  The Obyte community, many of whom have never heard of Drugwars before, is actively trying to ease the transition and help the influx of Drugwars users.  I hope the experience doesn't turn you away from Obyte, and hope you will appreciate Obyte's community efforts.  Do feel free to explore other Obyte features.
