Hello all Splinterlands and Hive friends. I have recently started this new project where I tell stories based on the Lore of Splinterlands and my own inventions, both of battles and cards. Let me know what you think.

The long journey home had begun. The three Humans, together with the gnome Supply, had set off to return to Lyveria. The journey was long and in some cases dangerous. But the Three Humans had the blessing of Kron The Undying and Spirit Of The Forest, so they would have nothing to fear... maybe...

The Great Pitt: a mysterious chasm dividing the Primordic Grassalands from the lands of the Swamp Of The Living Moss. It sits perfectly in the centre of two of the strangest territories in the Kingdom of Anumun. Last barrier for the Humans, last barrier for the Beasts.
The Great Pitt is a gigantic ravine of unknown depth. Some tales say that the chasm has no certain end. There are various rumours in Lyveria that if you throw a stone into it, you will never hear the sound of it touching the bottom.
It was created in the origin of times by the highest magical authorities of the Kingdom of Anumun, after having banished the most dangerous creatures of the Kingdom to the Grasslands of Primordia. Their intent was to keep the Beasts from approaching the villages adjacent to the Grasslands and thus avoid terror and consternation among the other inhabitants of the Kingdom. It is said that it was a gigantic bolt of lightning that created it, but other legends tell of some kind of meteorite that impacted the ground and opened a gigantic chasm that reached to the centre of the Earth.
Whatever is said about The Great Pitt, it can never be said with certainty to be the truth. All those who have had anything to do with the 'Black Ravine' (as it is called by some of the wandering inhabitants of the Kingdom) do not speak well of it at all, and above all, it is still intimidating. It is not physical presences such as ghosts that worry the travellers, no voices are heard from the ravine. The fear that dwells in the minds of those who have had anything to do with The Great Pitt is an irrational fear, fear of the endless void. What happens if one puts a foot wrong and falls into the ravine? Surely no one can tell, because, assuming it happened, no one has lived to tell the tale.

### ***The Swamps of the Living Moss***.
The Swamps of the Living Moss is one of the strangest territories that the Kingdom of Anumun can present to its inhabitants and visitors. An indefinite territory, as indefinite are its inhabitants. The Mosses that inhabit this territory do not have a definite form, but can easily and skilfully take any shape they wish, any shape that does not have to be regulated by the senses.
Generally, the magic powers of the Kingdom of Anumun are known to be the most powerful in the entire Splinterlands, but the magic powers of the inhabitants of the Swamps territories are much more powerful: among the most powerful in the Kingdom of Anumun.
The inhabitants of the territory might seem strange and inhospitable to visitors, but this is false. The Mosses are among the most hospitable creatures in Anumun. If a visitor enters their habitat then he or she will be welcomed with the best wishes, will be taken on a tour of the territories and will be offered hospitable gifts and services. Appearances are often deceiving, and here appearances are very deceiving.
Legend has it that the Swamps of The Living Moss was founded by a mythical creature: The Living Moss, to be precise. A creature of infinite powers that can defeat any being.
The inhabitants of the territory include Anphibians and Snorkelfish.

## ***Swamp Thing***
Resembling a Human body, but made of mud and moss. With some tree-like features. Swamp Thing is one of the creatures that inhabit the Swamps of The Living Moss. A being with very strong magical powers, but with a strange physical form. He is not defined as a being as such. He was once a Human: Claudius Greenforth. He lived in Lyveria, his hometown. During the Second Invasion, he took part in the military campaign called by the Kingdom of Humans to face the armies of Mortis alongside the ranks of the Kingdom of Anumun. Since then he has lived imprisoned in the lands of the Swamps Of The Living Moss. Since that time, he has worked constantly every day to regain his old physical form and be able to return to Lyveria. He cannot leave the lands of the Swamps until he is summoned by someone with the ability to do so.

## ***Spirit Druid Grog***
Spirit Druid Grog is the most powerful druid in all of Splinterlands. His immense magical powers make him a mystical and unreachable creature. However, Grog has The Living Moss to thank for his powers today. After the second invasion, when The Swamps were created, Grog was an ordinary druid apprentice who was skilled in the magical arts. By coming to terms with The Living Moss, he agreed to become the most powerful druid in all of Splinterlands capable even of resurrecting those who had fallen in battle. But he had to pay dearly for this with his personal freedom: Spirit Druid Grog spent the next 200 years in the Swamps without being able to set foot outside the territories of The Living Moss. It was only 100 years ago that Grog managed to obtain permission to roam on condition that his residence remained permanently near the Swamps. And so it was that for 100 years Spirit Druig Grog has lived in his mud and wood hut on the edge of the Swamps of The Living Moss, always ready for a call. Free, however, to roam around Anumun in search of the herbs and magical plants needed for his spells. Grog has one object from which he is never detached: his cauldron. Woe to those who dare touch a druid's cauldron.

## THE LIVING MOSS
At the dawn of time, when nothing was defined, The Living Moss was master of the undergrowth. His powers were limited to the surface of the globe but also extended to the underground. With the passage of time he was called upon to make a choice, to change his form on the condition that he extinguished his powers of the underworld, limiting himself to possessing only powers over everything above the Earth's crust.
After the Second Invasion, at the dawn of the Fourth Age, The Living Moss created an amorphous territory and took many beings of the Anumun Kingdom prisoner so that infrastructure and roads could be built. He gave them an amorphous form, promising them great magical powers in return. So it was, the inhabitants of the Swamps Of The Living Moss lost their living form forever to take on an amorphous form made of moss and mud. Some were happy about it, others were imprisoned forever in that situation.
The Living Moss has great supernatural powers, he can incorporate everything into himself. He can mould himself from time to time, he can control nature. He has unlimited magical powers: he destroys what he fears, he builds what he likes, he gives life to what has no life, he takes it away from what has it.
Idolised by many as a deity, hated to death by others.
One of the most powerful beings not only in the Kingdom of Anumun, but also in the entire Splinterland.

" You ... you ... you are ... no way!" said Sinder.
"I am Claudius Greenforth!" exclaimed Swamp Thing loudly.

"You said that the scriptures spoke of some visitors who would save you and take you with them to Lyveria,' said Sinder.
After a moment's pause he added: "Do you think we could be the visitors the scriptures spoke of?"

"His name within the scriptures was ***Dúnadan***, which in our language means man of the west," replied Swamp Thing.
"Man of the west?" asked Sinder.
As he spoke those words, his hands began to glow with a pulsing light that radiated throughout the Spellbook.
Just then the prophecy seemed to have been fulfilled, the scriptures had spoken the truth.

The human friends were somewhat surprised by The Living Moss's question; they really did not know what to answer. In fact, they did not answer and closed themselves in silence, looking at both Spirit Druid Grog and The Swamp Thing.
The Swamp Thing motioned them to answer, but silence still prevailed.
Then, Sinder said:
"Take the form you deem fit for this moment".
So The Living Moss, surprised by what he had just heard from Sinder's mouth, decided to take an amorphous form similar to that of The Swamp Thing so that the Humans could become more familiar with him.
"Here I am to you, visitors," began The Living Moss.
After a moment's pause, he continued.
" So, you said you were here for Claudius... tell me, what do you want?"
At this point the Humans began to tell of their journey and all that had happened until their encounter with The Swamp Thing.
"O Supreme Living Moss, it is they! The scriptures have spoken!" said The Swamp Thing.
" Mhh...." said The Living Moss thoughtfully.
" Claudius dear, I know you care so much and have been waiting for this moment for so long... but are you sure of what you say?" asked The Living Moss.
" We would not be here if we had not had confirmation from Spirit Druid Grog's Magic Cauldron," said The Swamp Thing.
" Grog, is that so?" asked The Living Moss.
" Yes, it is so. We would not have come here otherwise to disturb your rest!" replied The Druid.
" And so you are on the second step, after me you miss Magi Of The Forest," said Swamp Thing.
" Exactly! But first we should give the chosen one, the predestined one, the Man of the West, a chance to learn the great art of summoning!" said the Druid.
"So be it! " thundered The Living Moss.
"Let the chosen one come forward!" he added shortly afterwards.
Sinder stepped forward and bowing his head said:
"Here I am, supreme Living Moss!"
"Perfect, Man of the West, follow me! For you it will seem like five years, for your friends only a few hours!"

Salve a tutti amici di Splinterlands e di Hive. Ho da poco iniziato questo nuovo progetto in cui racconto storie basandomi sulla Lore di Splinterlands e su mie invenzioni, sia di battaglie che di carte. Fatemi sapere cosa ne pensate.

Il lungo viaggio di ritorno a casa era cominciato. I tre Umani, insieme allo gnomo Supply, erano partiti per far ritorno a Lyveria. Il percorso era lungo e in alcuni casi pericoloso. Ma i Tre Umani avevano la benedizione di Kron The Undying e di Spirit Of The Forest, per cui non avrebbero avuto nulla da temere... forse...

The Great Pitt: una misteriosa voragine che divide le Primordic Grassalands dalle terre dello Swamp Of The Living Moss. Si situa perfettamente al centro di due dei territori più strani del Regno di Anumun. Ultima barriera per gli Umani, ultima barriera per le Bestie.
The Great Pitt è un gigantesco burrone dall'ignota profondità. Alcuni racconti dicono che la voragine non abbia una fine certa. A Lyveria girano dicerie varie sul fatto che se lanci un sasso al suo interno non ne ascolterai mai il rumore del suo tocco sul fondo.
Fu creato in origine dei tempi dalle massime autorità magiche del Regno di Anumun, dopo aver relegato le creature più pericolose del Regno all'interno delle Grasslands of Primordia. Il loro intento era quello di non far avvicinare le Bestie ai villaggi adiacenti alle Grasslands per evitare così terrore e sgomento tra gli altri abitanti del Regno. Si dice che fu un gigantesco fulmine a crearlo, ma altre leggende raccontano di una specie di meteorite che impattando il terreno aprì una gigantesca voragine che arrivava fino al centro della Terra.
Qualsiasi cosa si dica su The Great Pitt, non si potrà mai dire con certezza che sia la verità. Tutti coloro che hanno avuto a che fare con il " Burrone Nero" ( come è chiamato da alcuni abitanti erranti del Regno) non ne parla affatto bene e soprattutto si rivela ancora ancora intimorito. Non si tratta di presenze fisiche come fantasmi che preoccupano i viaggiatori, non si sentono alcune voci dal burrone. La paura che alberga nelle menti di chi ha avuto in qualche modo a che fare con il The Great Pitt è una paura irrazionale, paura del vuoto senza fine. Cosa accade se si mette un piede storto e si cade nel dirupo? Di certo nessuno saprà dirlo, perchè, ammesso che sia successo, nessuno è sopravvissuto per poterlo raccontare.

### ***The Swamps of the Living Moss***
The Swamps of the Living Moss è uno dei territori più strani che il Regno di Anumun possa presentare ai suoi abitanti e visitatori. Un territorio indefinito, come indefiniti sono i suoi abitanti. I Mosses che abitano questo territorio infatti non hanno una forma definita ma possono abilmente e facilmente prendere qualsiasi forma desiderino, qualsiasi forma che non perforza deve essere regolata dai sensi.
Generalmente i poteri magici del Regno di Anumun sono famosi per essere conosciuti come i più potenti dell'intero Splinterlands, ma i poteri magici degli abitanti dei territori dello Swamps sono molto più potenti: tra i più potenti del Regno di Anumun.
Gli abitanti del territorio potrebbero sembrare strani ed inospitali ai visitatori, ma questo è falso. I Mosses sono tra le creature più ospitali di Anumun. Se un visitatore entra nel loro habitat allora sarà accolto con i migliori auspici, sarà portato a visitare i territori e gli saranno offerti doni e servizi ospitali. Spesso l'apparenza inganna, e qui l'apparenza inganna parecchio.
La leggenda vuole che lo Swamps of The Living Moss fu fondato da una creatura mitica: The Living Moss, per l'appunto. Creatura dai poteri infiniti che può sconfiggere qualsiasi essere.
Tra gli abitanti del territorio troviamo Anphibians e Snorkelfish.

## ***Swamp Thing***
Dalle sembianze simili ad un corpo Umano, ma fatto di fango e muschio. Con qualche fattezza di albero. Swamp Thing è una delle creature che popolano le Swamps of The Living Moss. Un essere dai poteri magici molto forti, ma dalla stramba forma fisica. Non è definito come essere in quanto tale. Una volta egli era un Umano: Claudius Greenforth. Viveva a Lyveria, sua città natale. Durante la Seconda Invasione partecipò alla campagna militare indetta dal Regno degli Uomini per fronteggiare le armate di Mortis a fianco degli schieramenti del Regno DI Anumun. Da allora vive imprigionato nelle terre dello Swamps Of The Living Moss. Da quel tempo lavora costantemente ogni giorni per tornare a riprendersi la sua vecchia forma fisica e poter far ritorno a Lyveria. Non può lasciare le terre delle Swamps finchè non viene summoned da qualcuno che abbia l'abilità di farlo.

## ***Spirit Druid Grog***
Spirit Druid Grog è il druido puìiù potente di tutto Splinterlands. I suoi immensi poteri magici lo rendono una creatura mistica e inarrivabile. Grog deve però ringraziare The Living Moss se oggi ha questi poteri, infatti dopo la seconda invasione, quando Le Swamps furono create, Grog era un comune apprendista druido che si diettava nelle arti magiche. Scendendo a patti con The Living Moss, accettò di diventare il più potente druido di tutta Splinterlands capace addirittura di poter resuscitare i caduti in battaglia. Ma dovette pagare a caro prezzo con la sua libertà personale: Spirit Druid Grog passò i successivi 200 anni nelle Swamps senza poter mettere piede fuori dai territori di The Living Moss. Soltanto 100 anni fa, Grog riuscì ad ottenere il permesso di poter vagare a patto che la sua residenza restasse stabilmente nei pressi delle Swamps. E fu così che da 100 anni Spirit Druig Grog vive nella sua capanna di fango e legno ai confini delle Swamps Of The Living Moss, sempre pronto ad una eventuale chiamata. Libero, però, di poter andare in giro per Anumun alla ricerca delle erbe e delle piante magiche necessarie ai suoi incantesimi. Grog ha un oggetto dal quale non si distacca mai: il suo calderone. Guai a chi osa toccare il calderone di un druido.

## THE LIVING MOSS
All'alba dei tempi, quando nulla era stato definito, The Living Moss era padrone del sottobosco. I suoi poteri si limitavano alla superficie del globo ma si estendevano anche al sottosuolo. Con il passare del tempo fu chiamato ad una scelta, poter mutare la sua forma a patto che estinguesse i suoi poteri del sottosuolo limitandosi a possedere soltanto poteri su tutto ciò che era al di sopra della Crosta Terrestre.
Dopo la Seconda Invasione, all'alba della Quarta Era, The Living Moss creò un territorio amorfo e fece prigionieri tanti esseri del Regno di Anumun affinchè venissero edificate infrastrutture e vie di comunicazione. Diede loro una forma amorfa, promettendogli grossi poteri magici in cambio. Così fu, gli abitanti delle Swamps Of The Living Moss persero per sempre la loro forma di esseri viventi per appropriarsi di una forma amorfa fatta di muschio e fango. Alcuni ne furono felici, altri furono imprigionati per sempre in quella situazione.
The Living Moss ha grossi poteri sovrannaturali, riesce ad inglobare tutto in se stesso. Riesce a plasmarsi di volta in volta, riesce a controllare la natura. Ha poteri magici illimitati: distrugge ciò che gli fa paura, edifica ciò che gli piace, da vita a ciò che non ha vita, la toglie a ciò che la possiede.
Da molti idolatrato come una divinità, odiato a morte da altri.
Uno degli esseri più potenti non solo del Regno di Anumun, ma anche dell'Intero Splinterland.

" Tu... tu ... tu sei.. non è possibile!" disse Sinder.
" Sono Claudius Greenforth!" esclamò a gran voce Swamp Thing

" Hai detto che le scritture parlavano di alcuni visitatori che ti avrebbero salvato e che ti avrebbero portato con loro a Lyveria" disse Sinder.
Dopo un attimo di pausa aggiunse: " Pensi che possiamo essere noi i visitatori di cui parlavano le scritture?"

" Il suo nome all'interno delle scritture era ***Dúnadan***, che nella nostra lingua vuol dire uomo dell'ovest". rispose Swamp Thing.
" Uomo dell'ovest?" chiese Sinder.
Mentre pronunciava quelle parole, le sue mani iniziarono a brillare di una luce pulsante che si irradiò in tutto lo Spellbook.
Proprio in quel momento la profezia sembrava essersi avverata, le scritture avevano detto il giusto.

Gli amici umani restarono un pò sorpresi dalla domanda di The Living Moss, non sapevano proprio cosa rispondere. Infatti non risposero e si chiusero nel silenzio, guardando sia Spirit Druid Grog che The Swamp Thing.
Swamp Thing fece loro cenno di rispondere, ma il silenzio dominò ancora.
Poi, Sinder, disse:
" Prendi la forma che ritieni adatta per questo momento".
Così The Living Moss, sorpreso da ciò che aveva appena udito dalla bocca di Sinder, decise di prendere una forma amorfa simile a quella di The Swamp Thing così che gli Umani potessero familiarizzare meglio con lui.
" Eccomi a voi, visitatori" esordì The Living Moss.
Dopo un attimo di pausa, proseguì.
" Allora, avete detto di essere qui per Claudius.. ditemi, cosa volete?"
A questo punto gli Umani iniziarono a raccontare del loro viaggio e di tutto ciò che era successo fino all'incontro con The Swamp Thing.
" O Sommo Living Moss, sono loro! Le scritture hanno parlato!" disse The Swamp Thing.
" Mhh...." disse pensieroso The Living Moss.
" Claudius caro, so che ci tieni tanto ed è da tanto tempo che aspetti questo momento.. ma sei sicuro di ciò che dici?" chiese The Living Moss.
" Non saremmo qui se non avessimo avuto conferma dal Calderone Magico di Spirit Druid Grog" disse The Swamp Thing.
" Grog, è così?" chiese The Living Moss.
" Si, è cosi. Non saremmo venuti qui altrimenti a disturbare il tuo riposo!" rispose il Druido.
" E così siete al secondo step, dopo di me vi manca Magi Of The Forest" disse Swamp Thing.
" Esattamente! Ma prima dovremmo dare la possibilità all'eletto, al predestinato, all'Uomo dell'Ovest, di poter apprendere la grande arte del summoning!" disse il druido.
" E così sia! " tuonò The Living Moss.
" Che l'eletto si faccia avanti!" aggiunse poco dopo.
Sinder fece un passo in avanti e chinando il capo disse:
" Eccomi, sommo Living Moss!"
" Perfetto, Uomo dell'Ovest, seguimi! Per te sembreranno 5 anni, per i tuoi amici soltanto qualche ora!"
