I Thought I Had Amazonesia.....

#### Look ! It's show-and-tell time again ! 😂

#### Yesterday, I was on my lunch hour and out of the kitchen window, I saw the Amazon truck and I thought, hmmmm.... what did I order last?.... I didn't think I had anything coming today. As I headed to the door to retrieve the package, still trying to remember what it should be, something I saw the other day on facebook crossed my mind. It was a meme that said Amazonesia was when you ordered so frequently from Amazon, that you forgot what exactly you ordered !

#### I retrieved the package from the porch, closed the door behind me and tore into the package, still wondering what it was ! Then I saw the book, (I didn't order that !).... and saw it was about Ravens and I knew immediately that it had to be something my sister Vicky had sent me as we had recently had a conversation about crows.

###### (WHEW!!.... thank goodness it wasn't just my memory failing me !)

#### I have a murder of crows that hang out near my house. My sister doesn't live so far from me, barely a couple of miles and she hears crows in the mornings, but has not enticed them over to her house with food because she doesn't want to feed the squirrels too ! Me, I'll take my chances, because crows are so fun to watch. Since they are all from the Corvid family, therefore the Raven book.

#### I started looking through the book, but have not finished it. It is a collection of short snippets about ravens through time and art. Not intense reading at all, but interesting and entertaining all the same.

Aren't they the MOST entertaining creatures? 

Hmmmm I haven't named any yet !  I did buy a crow call though.  I'm trying to learn the "food" call.  I don't put stuff out daily, but thought it would be fun to call them when I did.  Yes... they usually eventually find it themselves, but I still liked the idea of calling to them.

I don't order that much from Amazon, but, most things come so quickly now, it is hard to forget - unless you order a lot of things!

Over the Christmas holiday, the Post Office and Amazon delivery trucks would cross over and deliver each other's packages. A combined effort. Too much for each to deliver, I think. For the most part, it worked out pretty well and then, you could only guess what was showing up. 

Crows/Ravens are lots of fun. Their personalities shine in a crowd. Or alone. They love being the center of attention. 

My Uncle Lester (Poor guy! What a name!) had a Raven, aptly named Raven. He was the most personable little guy ever and he talked! I loved him!! He said one cuss word and I am guessing it was my Uncle's favorite word. 😳

I am off track! I think your sister is so cool with the way she pops those surprises on you!  :) I love surprises like that!

My Amazon ordering goes in spells and of course it was prolific during the holidays.  I could usually keep up with it though as long as I was the one that actually ordered what was being delivered !

Crows do have such fun antics.  I would love to get closer to them, but haven't really worked on it.  Maybe one day when that is all I have to do.... ha

That is neat about your Uncle Lester and his Raven.

Yes, my sister is cool like that.  She is 4 years older than me and retired, although I think she is nearly busier since she quit her job.  She tries to do everything for everybody and her hubby's health is not great, so it takes some extra work to help him keep his ducks in a row.  She feels bad for me because I am still working....and she knows I don't like it.  She buys a lottery ticket now and then, puts my name on it and sends me a picture of it.....LOL.... isn't that a swell thing to do?  It's always the thought that counts.

I had not heard of Amazonesia till sometime in the last week I think.  People think up the funniest stuff !  I couldn't help but think of it when I saw a package being delivered, but could not for the life of me remember what I ordered !  Good gracious.... !  I guess the trickery of my brain is ok, since it turned out to be such a fun surprise. 

I also like that mug.  It is so... ME !

I do understand this side of the story since I, myself finds it difficult to create and even finish a single blog. I've been in the community for more than five years but I'm still yet to achieve a good reputation as writer. So as much as I can, I'm trying to make way for it.
