Tuesday Musings.....
##### Tuesday ! ....and I am off work for the afternoon. Yay !

##### I don't have a plan, just like usual.  I think I will load the dishwasher and I might take out my giant gingerbread girl and sit her out for the holidays.  There is so much other I could do, but I have been nursing a fussy ankle for about a week now and it is limiting me from doing all I'd like too.  How annoying !!!!

##### But that's life and I'll get through it as always. 


##### These are Mimosa tree seed pods that show up in the fall.  They are green like a bean in the summer, then like most other tree things that are not on evergreens, they turn brown in the fall.  In fact, clusters of these are all that is left hanging on the tree now.

##### I love nature-y things and sometimes I like to bring bits of them into the house. I broke off this nice cluster below and brought it home with me.  It is sitting in a colorful glass vase now.

##### And now.... a cookie break in my post (you know, like a commercial LOL).  My sister came to pick up some things I was getting rid of while continuing to clean out. She surprised me with a bag of fun stuff, mostly gingerbread items, like plates and napkins and a gingerbread man note  pad with a tiny pen tied on it.  I will probably post a photo of him later.  Anyway, Oreo evidently has produced a snack pack type thing where they have some holiday designs individually wrapped like this Rudolph with a red nose.  I think I squished his nose flat getting him out of the package... ha ha.... The inside icing was two layers, one red and one green.  You could see both from the side, but I somehow didn't take a photo of that. I ate if for dessert for my supper last night.  It was quite cute, till it was gone. My first Christmas Cookie eaten this season.

##### Now... back to nature...  I love it when the sun shines on leaves and lights them up.  This also had a shadow going across it from the trees on the other side of the drive.  I took it going into Mom's on Sunday. Like always, there is more beauty to these things when you see them with your own eyes.

##### I liked the way the broken fence looked, so I took a photo across her front yard. The Japanese  maple's red leaves were on fire !

##### and the climbing vine is giving a last hurrah before the coming frosts take it all back down to the ground.

##### Oh look ! Another food break and this time it's homemade Pumpkin Pie!  My Mom made it and we had a slice while I was there Sunday. Of course she sent me home with a little more, so I still have a slice to enjoy later. I thought it looked pretty on her blue plate.

##### That's about it for today.  Now it is time for me to hobble bobble around and see what I can do on this sunny fall day..... but maybe I will eat lunch first. LOL.... There is always something better to do than chores.

Loving bimbling. I too bring seed pods, shells and other joyful treasures inside. They usually sit on the kitchen shelf or else in a bowl or pot plant.

Sometimes I used to stop and pick up a colorful leaf or two as I walked in from the parking lot at work and kept them on my desk near my keyboard. They helped my mental health...LOL.... somehow they kept me connected to the outside while I spent my day, working at the computer. 

I can't say how many times acorns have come in with me. My piano is black, so lots of things show up on the edge of it.  Other times, white quartz rocks sit on my kitchen windowsill. There are some there right now!

There's just something nice about having a small bit of nature around.
