*Hola apreciados amigos, es todo un gusto estar nuevamente por aquí. Últimamente no había estado muy activo en la plataforma pero una vez más aquí estamos para volver con buen pie.*
*Justo el tema que trataré en esta ocasión trata de un sentimiento así que la comunidad escogida para un buen regreso luego de unos días sabáticos ha sido la de [Emotions & Feelings](https://peakd.com/c/hive-102879/created)*

Nostalgia is a feeling that we will always have with us, and honestly, who does not feel nostalgia for one thing or another person or thing, especially in certain moments that in the past were in a way that will never return?
This feeling is very well defined by the encyclopedic dictionary "Gran Espasa Ilustrado (1997)" as:
> Melancholic sadness, originated by the memory of a joyful loss.
And how well this definition (although brief) fits in all that encompasses this momentary but broad feeling. It is not that we are always going to feel nostalgia, it is rather a feeling that comes from time to time, but when it arrives it moves us to the bone.

La nostalgia es un sentimiento que siempre vamos a tener con nosotros, y es que sinceramente, ¿Quien acaso no siente nostalgia por una u otra cosa o persona, sobre todo en ciertos momentos que en algún pasado fueron de una forma que jamás volverá?
Este sentimiento está muy bien definido por el diccionario enciclopédico "Gran Espasa Ilustrado (1997)" como:
> Tristeza melancólica, originada por el recuerdo de una dicha pérdida.
Y qué bien entra está definición (aunque breve) en todo lo que abarca este momentáneo pero amplio sentimiento. Y es que, no es que siempre vayamos a sentir nostalgia, es más bien un sentimiento que viene de vez en cuando, pero cuando llega nos remueve hasta los huesos.

As its definition says, it is a sadness that comes from a memory, so the first thing we will analyze in this post is that nostalgia has its beginning in a memory, so we could talk about trigger memories of sadness or melancholy, if in this field we have a whole stream of them.
For example, the death of a loved one or a traumatic experience can be triggers of moments of sadness and melancholy, personally I have some of these.
Now in my 26 years of life I am a person who envy among some things (that really do not come to mind and do not go with the topic), people who have their grandparents alive, if among these people are my nephews, who not only have living grandparents, but also have the grandparents of the new generation.

Como su definición lo dice, es una tristeza que llega por un recuerdo, así que lo primero que vamos a analizar en este post es que la nostalgia tiene su principio en un recuerdo, así que podríamos hablar de recuerdos detonantes de tristeza o melancolía, si en este campo tenemos todo un caudal de ellos.
Por ejemplo, la muerte de un ser querido o una experiencia traumática pueden ser detonantes de momentos de tristeza y melancolía, en lo personal yo tengo algunos de estos.
Ahora en mis 26 años de vida soy una persona que envidio entre algunas cosas (que realmente no me vienen a la mente y no van con el tema), a las personas que tienen a sus abuelos vivos, si entre estas personas están mis sobrinos, quienes no solo tienen abuelos vivos, sino que también tienen los abuelos de la nueva generación.

Why did you bring up the subject? Because as I do not have my grandparents, thinking about them and the fact that I lost the 3 I had since I can remember being old enough to know that death means not seeing them again soon, every time I see a child with his grandfather I feel sadness because I know that my grandparents are not alive to give me the love that sometimes I see in the grandchildren every day.
This personal issue is a trigger of sadness, another can be a traumatic event, in this we could not be judged because each person reacts differently to each situation, in particular I share in very brief words, about a time when I was younger, being in an organization, I tried hard to reach a certain position, which gave me more opportunities and responsibilities, this caused in me a sense of achievement for a goal achieved, but due to a mistake only lasted a short time.
Remembering this is also a trigger of sadness because even though it has already happened, certainly losing what cost us a lot to achieve, is just sad.

¿Porque tocó el tema? Porque como no tengo a mis abuelos, pensar en ellos y el hecho de que perdí a los 3 que tenía desde que tengo uso de razón siendo ya grande como para saber que la muerte conlleva no volver a verlos pronto, cada que veo un niño con su abuelo siento tristeza porque sé que mis abuelos no están vivos para darme el cariño que a veces veo en los nietos a diario.
Este tema personal es un detonante de tristeza, otro puedo ser un suceso traumático, en esto no podríamos ser juzgados ya que cada persona reacciona distinto a cada situación, en lo particular les comparto en muy breves palabras, acerca de una vez siendo más joven en que estando en una organización, me esforcé mucho por alcanzar cierto puesto, que me daba más oportunidades y responsabilidades, esto causaba en mí una sensación de logro por una meta alcanzada, pero que debido a un error solo dure un poco de tiempo.
Recordar esto es un detonante también de tristeza pues aunque ya haya pasado, ciertamente perder lo que nos costó mucho alcanzar, es simplemente triste.

But why do we mention this? Because although these memories are triggers of sadness, in reality what we feel for them is not nostalgia, how could we know? Well, because if we finish analyzing in depth the following part of the definition mentions: The memory must come from a lost joy, then, now we will understand that not all memories lead to nostalgia, because not all of them make us remember the joy of a certain moment.
That is why we could speak of joy as the trigger of a memory, rather than sadness. That's right, nostalgia can easily come from a memory that comes from seeing a grandfather hug his grandson and tell him how much he loves him, only if at some point we ourselves lived this, so remembering the joy we felt in that moment that will not come back makes us feel nostalgic.
So having defined and embracing the definition in each sentence we have understood nostalgia as a feeling that causes us sadness due to having lost a joy. These dates are particularly nostalgic because it is customary to see families reunited, and there are always situations that cause nostalgia among the good times, a family member who is missing, who is no longer present, a situation that has changed everything, among many things that could happen.

Pero, ¿Por qué mencionamos esto? Porque aunque estos recuerdos son detonantes de tristeza, en realidad lo que sentimos por ellos no es nostalgia, ¿cómo podríamos saberlo? Bueno por qué si terminamos de analizar a profundidad la siguiente parte de la definición nos menciona: El recuerdo debe llegar por una dicha pérdida, entonces, ahora vamos captando que no todos los recuerdos conllevan a la nostalgia, pues no todos nos hacen recordar la dicha de cierto momento.
Es por eso que podríamos hablar de la dicha como el detonante de un recuerdo, más que la tristeza. Así es, la nostalgia fácilmente puede venir de un recuerdo que llegué al ver a un abuelo abrazar a su nieto y decirle cuánto lo ama, solo si en algún momento nosotros mismos vivimos esto, así que recordar la dicha que sentimos en aquél momento que no volverá nos hace sentir nostalgia.
Así que habiendo definido y abarcando la definición en cada oración tenemos entendido la nostalgia como un sentimiento que nos causa tristeza debido a haber perdido una dicha. Estás fechas particularmente son de nostalgia ya que se acostumbra a ver reunidas las familias, y siempre hay situaciones que hacen que la nostalgia entre entre los buenos momentos, un familiar que falte, que ya no esté presente, una situación que haya cambiado todo, entre muchas cosas que podrían pasar.

Is nostalgia an avoidable feeling? No, but really not always being sad is bad, since remembering the good times that although they will not come back, they were of joy is a good movie that creates new unique moments.
Life will fill us with many good moments, so we will always be at the mercy of nostalgia, but knowing how to handle it and feel it within us will always be a good way to live and enjoy every moment as a unique one.

¿Es la nostalgia un sentimiento evitable? No, pero realmente no siempre estar tristes es malo, ya que recordar los buenos momentos que aunque no volverán, fueron de dicha es una buena película que crea nuevos momentos únicos.
La vida nos va a llenar de muchos buenos momentos, por lo que siempre estaremos a la merced de la nostalgia, pero saberla manejar y sentirla dentro de nosotros será siempre una buena manera de vivir y disfrutar cada momento como uno único.
