PROMOTING STEEMCAMP IN MY SCHOOL IN MY OWN LITTLE WAY

# Hello everyone,

Today i will be sharing about my own experience on how I promoted @steemcamp. Like i commented on @michaelcj  blog some time ago, I said i don't have the SP to upvote him to serve as a medium to support the ongoinging audtion which indeed needs cash to run but i have the ability to give my 1 cent upvote and most importantly a resteeming so that my followers will also get to see his good work. I think i owe him that .

Nevertheless, yesterday was super cool. I talked about  [how to become successful on steemit](https://steemit.com/steemgigs/@jackdogho/how-to-become-successful-on-steemit-its-not-a-rule-but-its-just-my-view-and-experience) and if you read that post, i talked about going to school. I was in school till evening with @emmaxx because i waited so i could be in church. As my day went on, I stumbled on some cool models (male and female inclusive) and i was like BOOM!!! @michaelcj, @steemcamp, #misssteemnigeria. Lol. That was what came to my mind. I had to call @michaelcj to get the info i needed to help promote Miss Steem Camp Audition that will be holding in Warri, May 4th since its closer to my school.

The guys felt left out so I talked to them about Steemit in general telling them they could spend their time making quality contribution to the steem blockchain andd also get rewarded for that. I felt a sense of satisfaction. I think if @michaelcj wish, a bigger and a proper publicity could be made in my school. I believe so many persons will be interested seeing its an opportunity to bring out there talents.


# Now Incase You Are Just Hearing About Steemcamp For the First Time

Steemcamp  is a youth empowerment initiative aimed at eradicating unemployment and poverty in underdeveloped countries like Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda etc, through the steem blockchain network.

This is an avenue to discover young talent in host countries. As we all know youths are filled with talent but do not have the finance to publicize and showcase their hidden creativity. Introducing them to the steem community will help give value to them as entertainers and vice versa.

This is a personality and prestigious award given to individuals who have contributed positively to the platform. These awards will be given by nomination in different categories. This medium will also be used to award non steemians who contributed towards the steem event thereby bringing them to the steem blockchain.
