Add to that the "supply chain crisis" that even the POTUS mentioned, we are in for a bumpy ride. Many of us get overwhelmed with all the "news" out there in the MSM, but the trick is to stay focused. Prepping is done over the long term, it can't be achieved in one day, week, month. At best, one year is a minimum to go by. Why? Rotation of preps, especially food preps, that is the key to any preps out there. However, when faced with the "reality" of the "current affairs", such as the Crude Oil (fuel) crisis, then there are times when we all have to adjust our prepping plans, lists, budgets so as to overcome the current issues that could affect us all on the long term. Apart from the obvious fuel issues, ALL oil based products could in the foreseeable future become somewhat of a scarce item on the shelves! Same goes with "electrical tape" and any other products that are dependent on the oil supplies. So, rather than fall into the "panic buying" mode, as what we saw happen with "TP", maybe it is time to start adjusting the "priority" lists, in a way that covers the issues we now face. One of those items is Motor Oil. "Any oil is better than no oil", an old saying from back in the day when engines were not computerized, but definitely applicable in any day and age where mechanics are concerned. We just ordered 4 l of powersteering fluid and 2 l of brake fluid, to top up on those preps. The past two weeks we purchased a bit of extra electrical tape, but man oh man, that duct tape (3M or gorilla) are bloody EXPENSIVE! It's a shame we don't have those in some generic brands like what is the case in AAFES (and I presume in The USA in general). Still need to get some more of those!
