Well here we are at the very beginning of the upheaval and already folks true colors, cognitive dissonance and a wide variety of psychological schisms are occurring that more highlight the flaws of our society rather than the collective response to a true crisis.

Folks are dying and that really sucks. Folks are also out of work but hey they are slurping up those unemployment payments so does working really matter especially if returning to work is just going to cause more folks to potentially die?

What is happening is that folks 'stuck at home' are realizing that what they are 'stuck' in and were previously perpetually working for is not quite as idyllic as they thought it was.

The delusional idea that things will 'return to normal' is so fucking absurd at this point that it can only be summed up as a 'bullshitting of self' that signals a dull-witted ignorance (or willful ignoring) of the collapse of this country's economy and the trillions of dollars that have been printed with absolutely nothing backing them because even our debts are in debt at this point.

Folks are not so much 'adjusting' to life in isolation as they are simply trying to avoid the harsh truths about themselves that isolation is bringing to the surface of their awareness where they then heavily bombard their realizations with booze, media, drugs or whatever in an effort to sink said realizations 'safely' back below the surface.

Some folks just cannot help themselves from monopolizing upon the misery of others because well some folks are just miserable assholes and nothing is going to change that. The old saying about 'never wasting a crisis' comes to mind and if the price is human lives then all the more polarizing and exploitable that said crisis is... so of course folks are going to be doing it.

How much time alone do folks need to realize that the 'world' that they so desperately want to return to is morally bankrupt and returning to it is just a clumsy attempt to help alleviate the shame of folks being equally morally bankrupt because after all it is easier to destroy the light within themselves than to battle and/or defeat the darkness all around them.

Look folks take it from someone that has spent a lifetime enduring hardship... what most of yal have been going through I have spent a lifetime coping with and there are no fucking silver bullets to slay your inner werewolves nor shortcuts to the road of inner peace.

What you are experiencing is a limiting of the options that you have and in turn the further limiting of the choices that you can make as your socioeconomic status takes a turn towards having little to no value. Welcome to the club!

That insecurity, discomfort and outright fear that is gripping your mind and heart about the present (and future) grows on you after awhile and you just have to embrace it and do something productive with it or let it fucking consume you to the point where you either implode or do the more irresponsible thing and explode it all outwards onto those around you or who are somehow connected to you.

Something to perhaps keep in mind is that yeah the world has actually changed of late but many of the things you may only lately be noticing have been not just a part of the world all along but the very lifeblood of it. Honestly do not act like it shocks you to have these realizations just because you were previously willfully ignorant of them.

If you can only rant and rave about how 'inconvenienced' and 'lonely' your life has become or blather on about one political shitheel or another then at this point you are already falling behind on perhaps doing what you should really be doing which in my not-so-humble opinion is growing as a person in the hopes that you can become a beacon of hope, truth, sincerity, love and kindness for those around you and to the world at large.

If you have only played lip service to such notions in the past maybe it is time that you just shut the fuck up and learn what doing those things actually means by being compassionate, sincere, understanding, having some integrity and above all else being thoughtful because the current situation did not create itself... it was fucking manifested by our collective choices so perhaps it is time to envision some solutions and make some better choices.
