Camping Trip

I haven't gone camping in the woods since I was knee-high to a grasshopper, but some friends conspired with me to go tent camping this week. Plans changed at the last minute, and we left today for Garfield Bay on Lake Pend Oreille instead of our previously-planned destination with a tuesday departure.

So here I am with a borrowed tent and way more stuff than I need because I have no idea what I am doing.

Hive posting may be sporadic, but there is 4G cell service here next to the bay itself, so I may be able to post, comment, and vote. On the other hand, I may have better things to do.

Last time I went, I had no chores that I recall. Now, I have hosts willing to do most of the cooking. Still feels lazy enough for me.

The road is travelled enough and close enough to hear traffic. It's odd. I hear more cars here than I do at home. Boat motors also rumble across the bay. There are some campers with noisy kids and car stereos, but they tone it down as night falls.

There's almost enough seclusion from other campers though. We aren't packed in like sardines here.
