Updates About Nothing

It's been a while since I posted last. I have a few things I want to write about, but offline life has been taking precedence.

# Burnout

Quitting my job at the end of last year after a couple years of escalating stress was not an easy decision, and the subsequent winter of illness was difficult. I need to take some time to break old routines and adjust my mindset.

# I'm not leaving

I know there's been a lot of discontentment around HIVE and the platform's growth and retention. I'm not planning to power down my stake. I've been on HIVE and its beta blockchain predecessor through ups and downs, conflict and conquest. Market volatility doesn't scare me. I'll continue to post intermittently. It just might become weekly-ish at best, and involve more snaps for shorter ideas.

# Almost an Orca

I am *very* close to reaching the threshold for the Orca level. I'll still be powering up any rewards and supporting the witnesses with votes. I may be less active, but I still want to help.

# Looking for suggestions

I will be delegating my Hive Power to different people, projects, and curation guilds. I'm open to suggestions. I don't necessarily want projects offering a reward sharing system. I'm also open to suggestions for witnesses and proposals as I make some changes before hibernating a bit. Make your pitch for projects and people you think need more support in the comments!

# Open to Opportunity

I'm planning to finally go on an overdue road trip to explore more of the US and see where I want to actually settle down long-term. My very much subject-to-change-without-notice plan is to either loop through western Washington toward Seattle to catch up with some distant family before heading southward via Oregon, or perhaps veer east through part of Montana before going south into Wyoming, but I may also take Highway 95 south toward Vegas.

Want to meet in person? Got job suggestions? Are there little-known places I should travel? Drop a comment, or better yet, send me a direct message via PeakD's messaging app or an encrypted memo. I've never been to the southwest or the deep south, and this will be flying by the seat of my pants, so to speak. My summer should be an adventure regardless. Maybe you'll read about it here, maybe not. Who knows?

Hey man. Good to see that you are in one piece. I very much understand burnout.

I myself am in a position where I am posting frantically and I WANT to head towards Orca from Dolphin, but I have gone the other way.

I have needed to power down due to financial reasons. It is really the wrong time to sell but I simply do not have a choice in the matter since my partner is not brining in the money she used to.

She is working hard though, starting a new business. It will get better.

As for your trip. I would have loved to meet up with you if only I was in the US! Haha.

I wish you luck and look forward to some periodical updates on how you are doing!
