 We all do it, so let's not deny it. Nobody really wants to be the one to take the blame for anything going wrong in a situation or for something bad that has happened. It doesn't matter if it's really your fault or not, most people would never accept the truth. They always claim that whatever happened is due to someone else's actions. If a person steals, it's because someone he/she knows was 'mocking' them with the item, it's never because they're envious. If you fail, the lecturers have it 'out for you' (although I know this does happen sometimes), not that you know you didn't study well. If you rape someone, it's because they 'teased' or 'provoked' you. If your friend has more money than you, it's 'definitely' money rituals, never mind that they worked their ass off to get that money. Your rival gets a promotion instead of you, then the person is 'definitely' sleeping with the boss etc. These are just a few examples of things that happen daily. Your failure can never be your fault in your mind, it's the cause of the actions of someone else. If you want to succeed in life, stop blaming others for everything wrong in your life. Claim responsibility for your actions and work to be better. You grow by learning from your mistakes. Nobody's perfect, so it's understandable to make mistakes sometimes and nobody reasonable would blame you for them, especially if they are genuinely unintentional. Own your mistakes, salvage things if you can and if that's impossible, start again. Your mistake might have ruined your chances the first time but if you recognize that, then there is definitely no chance of repeating them.
