I've been looking into this new altcoin world for a while now and yes, I share your opinion. The altcoin or cryptospace if you will is exploding. With hundreds of different coins on the market we can probably make the assumption that definitely most of them will not last. But what is happening is that with the current hype it seems that every day more and more people are jumping aboard and with a space that is still heavily under construction or nowhere near mature a lot of these coins at the moment can claim a space for the short term. A lot of pump and dump action going on. Good for you if you are a short trader, but if you are in it for the long term (HODL!) make sure you do your homework before investing in some because in a few years time only a handful of blockchains/crypto's/platforms will last.
