Collin Angle , He is the chief executive of #iRobot, the company that built the Roomba. They both graduated from M.I.T. They are the brilliant minds who realized that this invasive species is not going to be eradicated by spear fishing , open 365 days a year fishing season with an unlimited amount of lion-fish you can catch , that still wont eradicate this extremely destructive fish. They realized that this fish dwells deeper than most divers can dive and also divers set to certain human limitations like OXYGEN . Drones do not have the same limitations that human habe but they do have limitations. Within 12 months , the Angles created a nonprofit called Robots in Service of the Environment #RISE . They have no idea if this thing will work yet but what we are doing now is having little if any impact. The drone will use technology #iRobot developed for the Roomba, powering the remotely operated vehicle (ROV) to move along the ocean floor. It will be controlled almost like a video game by a human on a boat, who will use an underwater camera attached to the robot to hunt down the lionfish. Attached to the ROV will be a retention bucket for the lionfish and a tube to suction them once they’ve been exterminated.The way the fish will meet his maker will be accomplished through electrocution.Two probes, like metal sheets, box in its prey then send an electric current through it, as if there were a wire there. Because the lionfish cannot be harmed or even threatened by any creature in its environment it fears nothing. It devours its way around the coastal waters and as far up as Rhode island and far down as the Mediterranean , but that could all change with the technology of today coupled with people who want to see a better place with a better environment , an better environment means better economy , that is what my state of Florida is based on , this could create revenue and jobs for a whole industry of fisherman, hunters, drone operators that will operate these hunting drones, and god knows what else . That's America and we are celebrating a day tomorrow that makes this idea even possible HAPPY 4TH OF JULY </p> </html>
