However, as I see it, if I were the artist or photographer, I would appreciate it if they were to mention me and list my page on that site if they could not "buy me a cup of coffee" (which is just a reference to just making a small donation). My wife and I went out to Treasure Island in the San Francisco Bay one night at 11:30 pm and took some beautiful photos of San Francisco on a super clear night; no fog or any other hindrance. I took the pictures with my Pentax K1000 35mm with an F1.4 lens on it and on a tripod and with a timer. The next day, I took the roll of film in to be developed, and I waited about a week for the pictures to come back. They all came back with the negatives.

About two weeks after I had gotten them back, my wife and I were milling around at the local flea market, and we happened to go into a tent with some posters in it, which I always enjoyed looking at the artwork from all over. Well, lo and behold, I held up this one poster and showed my wife, and she said, "wow, that looks identical to one of the pictures from the camera roll."

Sure enough, someone from the developing company that developed my film had taken one of my negatives and worked it into a poster for sale at the local flea markets. I was a little less than thrilled, as I did not get the credit for my own work. So there is my tale of woe hahahahahahaha. It wasn't funny at the time, but this is why I'm pretty tight on having people make an attempt to give the authors or photographers the credit they deserve.
