 My transactions that are stuck in a pending state are small amounts and pale into insignificance when you look at the scale of the immediate problem facing Bitcoin. This has to be resolved fast or this could prove to be a killer for Bitcoin - people won't go back for more if some of their money has been kept in limbo. I read one person on the thread has been waiting 4 days for the transaction to clear. http://www.newsbtc.com/2017/05/17/bitcoin-network-hits-another-snag-number-unconfirmed-transactions-mempool-rises-nearly-200000/ Wonder how/when/if this will be resolved - sounds like some fundamental changes to BitCoin are needed pretty damn quick - as it's value rises with demand and the number of transactions over time continue to increase, it could be a victim of it's own success.

I wouldn't count on Bitcoin always being number one. The scaling problem isn't getting fixed anytime soon and it is untenable to use. Ethereum for instance is eating Bitcoin's breakfast and is staring at it's lunch. I agree if the scaling problem is fixed then we will see significant increases in the price of Bitcoin.
