Aside from obvious reasons everyone knows, I don't vote because modern voting is typically done by "registering" under a corporation which creates a huge liability.  By acting like an employee of one of this registered corporations (United States, Canada, State of [ALL OF THEM], etc.) your creating a tie to any corporate rule they they can get passed through the legislators.  In fact, it is important to cancel voter registration, one may be still in the system even though they don't vote any more.
