Sucedió hace un par de semanas ya... sí. Cierto😄 pero...
Aún hoy tengo que mirar las fotos para creerlo. 
Miro mi anillo en el dedo y me repito: Me casé! 😂
No estoy loca no. 😅 

**INTRO:** 
Lo que sucede es que él es mi compañero desde hace muchos, muchos años ya...  Aún nos miramos y nos reímos por habernos demorado tanto en dar este paso. Cada año que pasaba decíamos, este sí... a veces varias veces en un mismo año. Pero lo dejábamos correr.

Entre las muchas cosas que nos detenía, estaba el hecho de que la familia de Osvie vive a más de 700 Km de nosotros y no se podían trasladar todos. Nuestra casa no es muy amplia por lo que tampoco podíamos alojar muchas personas en ella. Luego algunos problemas de enfermedad en miembros de su familia...

 Mi nostalgia por no poder tener a mi papá vivo para que estuviera presente, o a mi hermano que vive en otro país...el Covid, todo lo que trajo para nuestro país el post covid y e "desordenamiento" (tema muy cubano)... el papel de su divorcio que demoró meses en salir porque el anterior ya estaba vencido...

Creo que algo que nos hizo romper de una buena vez con ese ciclo de "sis y más adelante, pero todavía" fue cuando me detectaron un nódulo en un seno.  Cuando después de algunas pruebas, podía llegar a ser el tan temido cáncer. Tenía papeletas de ganar; o en este caso, obvio,...perder. 
Afortunadamente, un siglo de incertidumbre, nuevos miedos y dos biopsias después, se confirmó que era benigno 😁. UFFF!! 😅

I think something that finally broke us out of that cycle of "yes, maybe later" was when I found a lump in my breast. When, after some tests, it could be the dreaded cancer. I had a good probability; or in this case, obviously,...bad.

Fortunately, a century of uncertainty, new fears and two biopsies later, it was confirmed to be benign 😁 Yei!!!😅

Creo que Osvie se asustó más que yo. Porque enseguida comenzó a hablar de casamiento 😅 y de poner fechas. Conversamos un poco del tema familiar, de qué tipo de boda queríamos. Yo no soy muy de vestidos enormes. Me gusta verlos. Saludo a las novias que pasan en sus carros llenos de sonidos, globos, y fanfarrias... pero eso no va mucho conmigo. Al final intentamos hacer una lista de amistades, para hacer algo pequeño. ¡Se nos iba de las manos! 

Mi lista, pasaba las 100 personas 🤣, la de él más menos lo mismo y además incluía traslado desde otra provincia de al menos 4 personas. Eso era la lista corta 😅 Juro que intentamos acortarla y nos parecía totalmente injusto cuando debíamos dejar a alguien fuera.

Yo sí quería al menos algunas fotos, ya saben... para el recuerdo... así que hable con Ale, un buen amigo fotógrafo para que asumiera ese rol y además fuera mi testigo de la boda. La otra testigo, una vecina muy querida.

I think Osvie was more scared than me. Because he immediately started talking about marriage 😅 and setting dates. We talked a little about family, about what kind of wedding we wanted. I'm not really into huge dresses. I like to see them. 
I greet the brides who pass by in their cars full of sounds, balloons, and fanfares ... but that doesn't really go with me. In the end we tried to make a list of friends, to do something small.
 It got out of hand! 
My list, it went over 100 people 🤣, his was more or less the same and also included 4 people from another province. That was the short list 😅 I swear we tried to shorten it and it seemed totally unfair when we had to leave someone out.
At least I wanted some pictures, you know ... for the memory ... so I talked to Ale, a good friend photographer to take on that role and also be my witness of the wedding. The other witness, a very dear neighbor.

¡Así que sin querer complicarlo más dijimos, vamos a sacar el turno ya! Nada de fiestas, nada de invitar a esta persona y a esta otra no.  Antes de salir de casa, fue que pensamos en el día como tal. Yo quería que en la fecha hubiese un número 8, por mi mamá. Ella dice que en su familia todas las cosas importantes suceden en días con el número 8, y yo quería hacerle ese regalo de seguir su tradición o creencia. Igual previmos otro día en caso de que no se pudiera para la fecha que queríamos. 
Al llegar y sentarnos con la notaria, nos dice: El único día disponible de este mes es el viernes 28. ! ES decir el día que nosotros queríamos! ¡Empezamos bien! Pues nos dieron fecha para la primera firma y luego ya llego el gran momento. 
El día antes yo había estado de peluquería y arreglándome las unas (cosa que no soporto porque mis cutículas son muy finas y las manicuras se creen que es broma cuando les digo que me cortan muy fácilmente, ya luego cuando ven salir la sangre cambia la cosa, pero luego de que ya me cortaron.)

El día señalado 28 de abril, muy tempranito, nos alistamos y nos fuimos juntos para el registro civil.  Todo fluyó muy bien. Yo me sentía cómoda, alegre. Estaba preocupada de no sentirme así. De que llegara el momento y sintiera que me faltaba la gran boda, o que sé yo... pero no fue para nada así. 

¡Ambos estábamos felices! MUCHO! Nos alegraba dar el paso finalmente. Ese que habíamos retrasado por tantas razones, algunas valiosas, otras insignificantes. 

Lo que más me gustó de ese día y que recuerdo con calidez es la sensación de que hacíamos algo que queríamos mucho y no nos importaba nada más.
