CHALLENGES OF THE ISO 9001:2015 STANDARD

Today I present an extract of the work presented at the 3rd Venezuelan Congress of Science, Technology and Innovation. LOCTI-PEII, held in Venezuela, where I presented a paper based on the analysis of the updating of ISO 9001:2015 standards.

<div class="text-justify">Quality has become a challenge for most organizations and the key to success.  

In this sense, the Quality Management Systems (QMS) represent the support that facilitates working according to the objectives and plans in this area.

The ISO 9001 Standard has been the main reference at world level in the subject of quality, its last update in 2015, the International Standards Organization (ISO), published the new requirements that have been incorporated into the SGC since two years ago, according to the deadline established by the organization as a transition period.

<div class="text-justify">It is important to emphasize that the main modifications incorporated and their scope, as well as the changes in structure and content, in the first one the so-called high-level structure is adopted; in the second one the approach based on risks, focus on processes, documented information, goods and services is incorporated, as well as the analysis of the context of the organization, leadership, among others. </div>

<div class="text-justify">The changes in the ISO 9001 standard, promote and encourage the evolution of the SGC in its internal and external dynamics, which requires the preparation of the organization in knowledge and skills, as well as a review of its strategic components.</div>
