Might be useful to have some limitations on newly made Steemit accounts in the future, either by some payed restriction feature or some reputation that needs to be gained in order to be fully unlocked.

ye i found out today my comment under post was copy pasted by some spammer too , because we growing and growing more and more people will be who just want some free 1$ per day and because of it they will just spam and spam, We need to improve system of flagging and cleaners, so we can fight back!

I don't know...maybe it would keep spammers away...all those people that have no idea what they're doing here, except for trying to get some easy money.
On the other hand, other people might feel it's some sort of scam, especially if they don't actually know someone who is on Steemit and can explain how it works. I, for instance, wouldn't have paid $10 to register on some site I knew very little about. Sure, it sounded nice, but almost too good to be true. If I would have had to give money, I'd have probably decided "it's not true".

Let us not hope that if a lot of people join Steemit just for the profit potential that people from the west will abandon it.

People from poorer countries might drain the rewards pool by upvoting each others posts on a rutine basis (just posting a short message and a network of accounts upovote it). 

That would take the excitement out of Steem and people might start to abandon the platform. 

I really hope this will never be the case.

The massive increase in alexa rank was only my its hard work but it was very interesting.

Maybe it should cost $1-5  to get Steemit account! Some people pay $6-10 to get it and I bet they value their accounts more than those who got them for free.

people think when they paid more for something it is worth than something you paid less amount..thanks for sharing this with us..i learnt something from it :)

I disagree with the fee. However some limits must be set to new accounts. E.g max 5-10 posts a day and perhaps a captcha.  That will certainly discourage spammers and make the job of spam cleaning groups so much easier.

Hi Janus. Great and interesting post. I love steemit as I'm an internation kind of guy. I get to meet people all around the world now through steemit. It works just fine for me! I have a high quality post that I didn't want to get lost in your feed. This is one major reason why I'd take Thailand anyday over a country in latin America. Check this out!

I agree. And the quality posts get burried in the sea of spam posts. On the other hand there is no regulating the posts so i hope the searching for posts gets better in the future and that we can flag people so we don't see there posts anymore.
