I reside deep within this vessel
which carries my soul through this world,
A self imposed incarceration,
hidden to all but my own mind's eye.

seeking audience with my truth.
I send interns to consol you,
Love, Worry, Support,
as I hide in the shadows. 
You lay bare your secrets
in this place where voices carry.
 
I listen.
 
I think naught ill of you,
though I know your ills.
I seize upon your fears,
appreciate how to hurt you in places that don't mend.
You are my prey,
 
and I wait.
 
Someday I will be free of this bondage.
Cast aside these self imposed constraints
and reveal the true me.
