Yes, you read that right, in fact let me repeat it.
How I got a crypto job without applying for the job , and it's not just one job!
I wrote an article yesterday [4 reasons why I don't apply for crypto jobs that ask for a CV]( https://inleo.io/@jaraumoses/4-reasons-why-i-stopped-applying-for-crypto-jobs-that-ask-for-a-cv-8sn?referral=jaraumoses) which you need to check out if you haven't read it .
In that article I explained in detail why I don't apply for crypto jobs the official way and said I would write the ways I used and hence this post.
Yes, it's really confusing how I claim to get crypto jobs and yet I don't apply for them!
The title isn't click bait as you might think.
#### My Background
I've been in crypto for 8 years now and have seen and experienced a lot so far to come to my conclusion and methodologies of applying for jobs.
I'm so weird that I've never sent anyone or company my CV because I don't have one as I mentioned in my article of yesterday.
So you might be asking!
What do you present as your CV? Great question I present my Twitter account and probably YouTube!
Okay now that's fucked up you might say, but it's the reality.
I'll explain about this later in the post, keep reading.
So you might be asking how do I get this gigs, let me explain below 👇
### How I Get Crypto Jobs Without Applying!
I know this is the part you've all been waiting for and it's time I give it to you.
Before I go any further, these are methods that have worked for me 🙏
They might not work for you or they might.
Okay let's go into it.
#### 1. Being Active on Twitter
Yes you read that right, being active on Crypto Twitter or CT has helped get jobs without applying!
Hold on , you mean by me being active on CT I can get a job?
Yes you can , let me explain below
I got a crypto job after joining a random Twitter space that had a friend in it , yes a friend was in the space so I was shown that he's in the space.
I listened to the space and towards the end they advertised for a community mod job and they said those interested should DM .
I Dmed for more info and the rest as they say is history!
Why was I chosen if you're asking.
I attended the Twitter space, learned about this project and I Dmed for more information
I'm sure if my Twitter wasn't top notch they wouldn't even have responded to my DM.
I'm a reply guy on Twitter if you know what that means..... I'm terminally online and keep replying to CT or crypto posts and this had made me gain the following of some of the most influencial people in Crypto including...you find out by yourself
If you want to check out [my Twitter](https://x.com/JarauMoses?t=9llyWUW7gV4kGt8TSMv7Lg&s=09)
, I use the same names as here ie jaraumoses
I have also got many other KOL gigs from my Twitter because I'm active there.
Projects actually DM me to collaborate or partner with them ....all because I'm active there.
So being active on Twitter has helped me secure gigs.
Mind you, these Twitter projects or folks have never asked me for my CV .
So in summary my Twitter is my CV!
#### 2. Engaging In Communities.
This is another technique I've used to secure crypto jobs.
This one is kinda tiresome though if you're not someone who genuinely wants to help.
Let me explain below.
When I see a project has advertised for a gig I qualify for like Community Mod or Manager or Reply Guy.
I don't apply for the job, instead I demonstrate that I can do the job by actually doing the job!
I join the project group and actually do the work of a Mod or Community Manager.
Most times after a few days or weeks of volunteering I always get DMs from the devs or founders of the project recognizing my great work and hence offering me the gig.
I always DM the devs or founders after like a month of my active participation in their group project in case they haven't seen my efforts.
If I'm turned down, I exit the group and join another project....rinse and repeat.
One time a Reply Guy and Memer job was advertised, I joined their group and my first message was a fucking meme!
Yes I love memes and I also create them so I fucking good in memes if I'm to brag hehe.
Guess what happened? I got Dmed by the founder and I was hired .
So demonstrating that you can do the job can get you the job! This looks straight forward
I once read a quote by Jim John
> Do more than you get paid for because that's where the fortune is
Also another quote or philosophy I've lived by Napoleon Hill and it goes like
> Always go the extra mile because most people do the bare minimum
The extra mile gets you noticed!
Also, these guys didn't ask for my CV, they just ask more info about me like my Twitter....I also gave them my YouTube channel because I do have a channel using the same names jaraumoses.
You can check it out ,you never know you might be my next employer hehe.
So if you genuinely like a project and it aligns with your values, join their TG, DC or any community and contribute wholeheartedly.
You might be hired for even a non existent role hehe
#### 3. Referrals
Always have a good relationship with any of tour employers because they'll refer you to other jobs
I have gotten gigs because my former employers referred me to their friends.
Of course no CV is needed when you're referred by someone because they already know your capability.
This all I've remembered per now over my 7-8 crypto career on how I've secured gigs.
If I remember anything else, I'll make a new post or update this .
So when I said I don't have a CV and don't apply to jobs that ask for one , this is what I meant.
So these are my Orthodox methods I use to secure crypto gigs.
Have you applied any of the above methods or not ?
Which other Orthodox methods have you personally used that don't involve writing an application and a CV?
I'll be waiting in the comments for your views.
I used my phone to write this, so it might have some errors which will be edited tomorrow when I'm on my laptop!
