Hello Splinterlands friends, another week we continue advancing in the game's combat strategies. This time, the topic is how summoners can help us in our combat strategy by boosting our cards or reducing the power or effects of enemy cards.

I’m going to talk about one of my favorite summoners and how, thanks to their abilities, I can achieve great results with my cards.

# <center>GRANDMASTER RATHE</center>

**Grandmaster Rathe** is a legendary summoner for the Life Splinter from the Chaos Legion edition.

This summoner is one of the ones I use most in my battles because it grants a series of abilities to all our creatures, making them highly resilient and giving us the chance to counter enemy attacks.

Let’s take a look at these abilities.

Este invocador es uno de los que más uso en mis batallas ya que nos ofrece una serie de habilidades a todas nuestras criaturas que las vuelven muy resistentes y nos da la posibilidad de contrarrestar los ataques enemigos.

The first ability it offers is a +1 shield bonus to all our creatures. This is perfect for melee or ranged attacks, but it doesn’t stop there because its second ability has perfect synergy with this.

La primera habilidad que nos ofrece es un bonificador de +1 en el escudo de todas nuestras criaturas. Perfecto para los ataques cuerpo a cuerpo o a distancia, pero no queda ahí, porque su segunda habilidad tiene una simbiosis perfecta con esta.

*Void Armor* is truly an extraordinary ability. Being able to use cards with a good amount of shield and having all magic damage hit the shield first significantly increases the survivability of all our creatures. Additionally, we can take advantage of cards with the *Repair* ability to restore the shield as needed.

*Void Armor* es sinceramente una habilidad extraordinaria. Poder usar cartas con buena cantidad de escudo y que todo el daño mágico vaya primero al escudo hace que la vitalidad de todas nuestras criaturas aumente. Además podemos hacer uso de cartas con la habilidad *Repair* para ir reparando el escudo.

Finally, our summoner also provides the *Amplify* bonus. Many might think this is an ability with little impact, but that’s not the case. The Life Splinter has plenty of cards with abilities like *Magic Reflect*, and using this summoner will increase the damage reflected back.

Por último, nuestro invocador también nos dará el bonificador de *Amplify*. Muchos pensaréis que es una habilidad sin mucha proyección, pero no es así. El Splinter Vida dispone de multitud de cartas con habilidades como *Magic Reflect*, el uso de este invocador aumentará el daño devuelto.

# <center>EXAMPLE COMBAT</center>

Let’s look at an example of a battle where the use of **Grandmaster Rathe** gives me an advantage, and thanks to the strategy I’ve prepared, I’m able to increase the damage dealt to my opponent.

This is a clear example of the effective use of this summoner.

Predicting that my opponent would use magic attack cards, I decided to include cards with the *Magic Reflect* ability. Thanks to **Grandmaster Rathe**’s *Amplify*, the reflected attacks become even stronger. For this strategy, I relied on **Blinding Reflector** and **Imperial Knight**, two excellent cards to execute my plan.

My opponent used a similar strategy, but their summoner allowed them to include a Gladius card: **Helmet Kharafax**. Who will emerge victorious?

The battle begins, and magic attacks are exchanged back and forth. I have the upper hand because all my creatures benefit from *Amplify*, allowing both **Blinding Reflector** and **Imperial Knight** to deal significant damage by reflecting the enemy’s magic attacks.

Gradually, I take control of the board as the reflected magic damage wreaks havoc on my opponent’s fragile creatures.

Each turn, their cards weaken due to their own attacks. Although I lose **Blinding Reflector**, I manage to secure victory in turn 4, completely overwhelming my opponent.

Intuyendo que mi rival iba a jugarme con cartas de ataque mágico me decido por usar cartas con la habilidad *Magic Reflect* y gracias a *Amplify* de **Grandmaster Rathe** los ataques verán incrementados su poder al ser devueltos. Para ello cuento con **Blinding Reflector** e **Imperial Knight**, 2 estupendas cartas para poner en marcha mi estrategia.

Mi enemigo juega con una estrategia similar aunque su invocador le permite seleccionar una carta Gladius que es **Helmet Kharafax**. ¿Quién saldrá victorioso?

Comienza el combate y los ataques mágicos van de un lado a otro, cuento con ventaja gracias a que dispongo de *Amplify* en todas mis criaturas y tanto *Blinding Reflector** como **Imperial Knight** van a hacer mucho daño a mi enemigo devolviendo sus ataques mágicos.

Poco a poco coy dominando el tablero y veo como el daño mágico devuelto está haciendo estragos entre sus débiles criaturas.

Cada turno sus cartas se están debilitando debido a su propio ataque y aunque llego a perder a **Blinding Reflector** consigo terminar el combate en el turno 4 destruyendo por completo a mi enemigo.
