<div class="text-justify">Hay actores a los que uno simplemente les pierde el rastro porque de la noche a la mañana dejaron de aparecer y de ser tan mainstream, de esos que alguna vez fueron relevantes ya que tuvieron varios roles protagónicos en grandes películas de las industria. En esta oportunidad hablo de Orlando Bloom, actor que es conocido por estar en films como los Piratas del Caribe, el Señor de los anillos y más recientemente, Gran turismo. De ahí mi interés por querer ver esta película, una que a priori no parece ser la gran cosa pero que solo por el hecho de tener esta cara conocida pues se hizo la tarea.</div>

> There are actors that one simply loses track of because overnight they stopped appearing and being so mainstream, those who were once relevant because they had several leading roles in major films in the industry. This time I'm talking about Orlando Bloom, an actor who is known for being in films like Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings and more recently, Grand Touring. Hence my interest in wanting to see this movie, one that a priori does not seem to be a big deal but just by the fact of having this familiar face, it did the job.

<div class="text-justify">Esta es la historia de Cash (Orlando Bloom), un tipo que vive apartado de todo en una granja con su familia, es decir, su hermano y sobrina. Cash está tratando de reformarse, de alejarse de los problemas en los que estuvo metido alguna vez y tratar de ir por el camino correcto. Su familia, en este caso su hermano Finney, al parecer por la situación en la que se encuentra, decidió hacer un pacto con el diablo y es que asumió un préstamo poniendo como garantía la querida granja de la familia por lo que más temprano que tarde este va a venir a cobrar lo que se le debe y es ahí en donde los problemas dan inicio.</div>

> This is the story of Cash (Orlando Bloom), a guy who lives away from it all on a farm with his family, namely his brother and niece. Cash is trying to reform, to get away from the trouble he was once in and try to get on the right path. His family, in this case his brother Finney, apparently because of the situation in which he finds himself, decided to make a pact with the devil and he took a loan putting as collateral the beloved family farm so sooner or later he will come to collect what he is owed and that is where the problems begin.

<div class="text-justify">El "diablo" en cuestión es una capo de la droga que controla todo el lugar apodada Big Cat (Andie MacDowell) quien es realmente una persona a temer por las cosas que se ven en el film. Qué pasa entonces? - para saldar esa deuda Cash decide trabajar para ella, con esto él estaría regresando a la persona que fue en un pasado y que tanto ha querido dejar atrás pero por proteger a su familia y a su granja hará todo lo necesario que esté en sus manos y poder. Como ven la película es tan simple como las típicas historias en donde existe la opresión de un criminal hasta que llega alguien con la suficiente necesidad y agallas para ponerle fin a todo ese "reinado" de terror que hay impuesto.</div>

> The "devil" in question is a drug lord who controls the whole place nicknamed Big Cat (Andie MacDowell) who is truly a person to be feared for the things seen in the film. So what happens? - To pay off that debt Cash decides to work for her, with this he would be returning to the person he was in the past and that he wanted so much to leave behind but to protect his family and his farm he will do whatever is necessary in his hands and power. As you can see the film is as simple as the typical stories where there is the oppression of a criminal until someone with enough need and guts comes along to put an end to all that "reign" of terror that is imposed.

<div class="text-justify">Como les comentaba estamos ante una trama demasiado conocida y que hemos visto cientos de veces en el cine pero la cual es, por lo menos para mi, entretenida. Es la historia de un jefe criminal que tiene a todos en el bolsillo, con un ejército personal conformado por los hombres más locos e idiotas que pueden existir, dinero, armas y sobretodo con una mentalidad fría y despiadada; claramente todo está en contra y no hay manera de las cosas cambien. El film nos cuenta que si, que si hay una forma y que se agarrarán a ella. El tema acá es que uno intuye lo que va a pasar, uno se lo imagina, con una que otra sorpresa, pero al final la trama es lo que es.</div>

> As I said, we are facing a plot that is too well known and that we have seen hundreds of times in the movies but which is, at least for me, entertaining. It is the story of a criminal boss who has everyone in his pocket, with a personal army made up of the craziest and most idiotic men that can exist, money, weapons and above all with a cold and ruthless mentality; clearly everything is against him and there is no way to change things. The film tells us that yes, there is a way and they will stick to it. The point here is that one intuits what is going to happen, one imagines it, with a surprise or two, but in the end the plot is what it is.

<div class="text-justify">Esto no le quita que sea algo aburrido y cansado de ver, en lo personal estuve todo el tiempo sin problemas disfrutando del film. Tiene buenas escenas de acción, hay un alto grado de violencia importante que le da un toque distinto y un poco más vistoso a la historia, vemos mucha sangre, cierta tortura, golpizas, balazos, todo lo necesario para que la trama no sea algo más del montón. No vengo a decir que es un peliculón pero si creo que es la clásica dominguera para ver cuando queremos desconectar de todo, es ese film que te pones un domingo a las cinco de la tarde.</div>

> This does not mean that it is boring and tiring to watch, personally I spent the whole time enjoying the film without problems. It has good action scenes, there is a high degree of significant violence that gives a different touch and a little more colorful to the story, we see a lot of blood, some torture, beatings, shootings, everything necessary for the plot is not something more of the pile. I do not come to say that it is a blockbuster but I think it is the classic Sunday movie to see when we want to disconnect from everything, it is that film that you put on a Sunday at five o'clock in the afternoon.

<div class="text-justify">Como casi siempre en estas película está el tema de la familia y de todo lo que se haría por ella. Aca el arraigo por este tema es importante porque la razón de ser de todo lo que sucede es netamente familiar, tanto del lado de los buenos como el de los malos. Evidentemente está el tema vengativo el cual también le añade mucha gasolina al fuego, es impresionante cómo puede actuar una persona bajo la influencia de la venganza, es como si alguien cambiara su personalidad en un 100% para convertirse en un ser ciego y con un solo objetivo: eliminar a todo aquel que se interponga en su camino.</div>

> As is almost always the case in these films, there is the theme of family and all that would be done for it. Here the rooting for this theme is important because the raison d'être of everything that happens is purely family, both on the side of the good guys and the bad guys. Evidently there is the vengeful theme which also adds a lot of gasoline to the fire, it is impressive how a person can act under the influence of revenge, it is as if someone changed his personality 100% to become a blind being with only one goal: to eliminate anyone who gets in his way.

<div class="text-justify">En cuanto a las actuaciones y personajes decir que Orlando Bloom estuvo muy promedio, nada destacable, en parte porque el papel tampoco exige mucho pero aún así es el típico personaje que todo lo quiere hacer con sus manos por tener una necesidad imperiosa de proteger a los suyos. Big Cat, Andie MacDowell, para mi le faltó más potencia. Es un personaje lleno de maldad y de crudeza, eso se nota, pero a la hora de demostrarlo no se le aprecia mucho, me faltó convicción. En fin, un film básico pero entretenido, de esos que funcionan porque fue hecho para eso, sin más. 6/10. Un fin de semana, no hay nada que ver, lo buscan y la disfrutan. Dura un poco menos de dos horas. Les dejo el tráiler por acá.</div>

> As for the performances and characters, Orlando Bloom was very average, nothing remarkable, partly because the role does not demand much but still is the typical character who wants to do everything with his hands because he has an urgent need to protect his own. Big Cat, Andie MacDowell, for me lacked more power. She is a character full of evil and rawness, you can see that, but when it comes to show it, she is not very appreciated, I lacked conviction. Anyway, a basic but entertaining film, one of those that works because it was made for that, that's all. 6/10. A weekend, nothing to see, look for it and enjoy it. It lasts a little less than two hours. I leave the trailer here.
