> El río soñaba con el cielo, pero no con tenerlo dentro como un reflejo, no, soñaba con fluir hacia él como una especie de lluvia inversa, atravesar las nubes y llegar lo más alto posible. Pero se sentía atrapado en su cauce y en sus corrientes, que lo llevaban una y otra vez por regiones montañosas y parecía que así sería por el resto de la eternidad.
Una tarde, un bongo que atravesaba el río fue sorprendida por un tronco, quien la golpeó e hizo que se hundiera; los pasajeros nadaron hasta la orilla, y sólo una mujer que no sabía nadar y que, además, había perdido todo sentido de maravilla en su vida, se resignó a ahogarse. Lo extraño, para los compañeros de viaje, fue que el río devolvió a la mujer hasta la orilla.
La mujer no sabía a qué se debía el milagro de seguir viva, pero algo había cambiado para ella; estaba convencida de que aún no le había llegado su hora de partir de este mundo; y cómo necesitaba respuestas empezó a visitar al río todas las tardes. Al principio no tenía claro qué hacer allí, qué decirle, cómo agradecerle; después sólo se sentaba a admíralo, eran el río y ella; ella y el río; el río en sus ojos y ella en el reflejo del río, y así estuvieron por semanas hasta que un día ocurrió lo inesperado...

*&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;La mujer, incrédula ante lo que veían sus ojos, contempló cómo el río abandonaba su cauce natural para acercarse a ella suavemente, sin causarle daño alguno, simplemente depositándose a sus pies con suavidad, llegando el agua hasta sus rodillas. Cualquiera que hubiera presenciado la escena habría creído ciegamente que el río suplicaba a la mujer que tenía delante que le hiciera caso.*

*&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Al cabo de unos minutos ocurrió algo completamente inimaginable, las mansas aguas cristalinas comenzaron a comunicarse de una forma increíble con la persona a la que había salvado de morir ahogada semanas atrás. Todo en ese instante se aclaró; ya no hay dudas, había sido salvada porque era alguien especial para el río soñador, poseía algo invaluable que lamentablemente quiso enterrar con su muerte sin darse cuenta de lo hermoso que era vivir teniendo su suerte. Agradeció todo lo que pudo y prometió que en su próxima misión llevaría una parte de el río al espacio.*

*&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;A partir de ese día, la reconocida astronauta de la NASA Teniente Coronel Anne Rubins, comenzó una hermosa amistad con el río, quien a través de sus sueños logró devolverle a Anne los suyos.*

One afternoon, a bongo boat crossing the river was surprised by a log, which struck her and caused her to sink; the passengers swam to the shore, and only a woman who could not swim and who, moreover, had lost all sense of wonder in her life, resigned herself to drowning. The strange thing, to the fellow passengers, was that the river pulled the woman back to shore.
The woman did not know what the miracle of being alive was due to, but something had changed for her; she was convinced that it was not yet her time to leave this world; and because she needed answers, she began to visit the river every afternoon. At first she was not sure what to do there, what to say to it, how to thank it; then she just sat and admired it, it was the river and her; her and the river; the river in her eyes and her in the reflection of the river, and they stayed like that for weeks until one day the unexpected happened...

Everything in that instant became clear; no more doubts, she had been saved because she was someone special for the dreamer river, she possessed something invaluable that unfortunately she wanted to bury with her death without realizing how beautiful it was to live having her luck. She was grateful for everything she could and promised that on her next mission she would take a part of the river into space.*

*&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;From that day on, the renowned NASA astronaut Lieutenant Colonel Anne Rubins, began a beautiful friendship with the river, who through her dreams managed to give Anne back hers.*
