Who would have thought that wearing a mask behind the wheel would ever be legally acceptable at the dawn of this year? Ironically, it's becoming a grave offence not to have one on (chuckles)
Among other lessons, I think the pandemic has proven beyond reasonable doubt that indeed <a href='https://peakd.com/hive-170798/@jearyjoe/nothing-lasts-forever'> Nothing lasts forever </a>
"Lasting" laws are gradually being reviewed, solid cultures are seemingly drifting, and old habits are slowly being replaced with new ones without much noticing.
Just previous night, I was in bed reviewing my goals for the year 2020. Believe me, I fell real sad when I saw my lists.
It came so fast and hard on me when my itinerary came to view.
Invitations to speaking, and engagement in a couple of neighbouring countries which I was privileged to attend only one due to the lockdown had my heart sucked.
Booked event management which payment received in advance I needed to refund, really bled my eyes.
Just like a colleague said to me;
>This same year we planned to really stretch grind and make more statements with our lives, the world got sick."
**Truly <a href='https://peakd.com/hive-148441/@jearyjoe/dreams-change-or-or-diaryofapoet'> Dreams </a> change!**
I think it's imperative we have a rethink of things we consider important and reenlist things we never esteemed well enough.
>Perhaps it's true that, things that really matter in life aren't things afterwards.
Call me naive, but I'm sure I wasn't the only one who freaked out the first of hearing a religious body stating availability of Alcohol based hand sanitizer as one of the attractions to drawing worshipers back to places of worship... Well, we now understand probably more than ever that the wind of change is unavoidable.
Oh one more thing on a lighter mood, I think the mask makes me look like a half formed Spiderman in premier edition with not so well plot, unlike some other folks who look pretty cool, smart and classy in it.
>Well, nature has a way of maintaining balance and life has a special means of compensation.
For me the mask has not only served as a protective piece against the virus, but had on many occasions protected me from being seen by so many people in public places (speaking as an ambivert, whose introvert side often seek attention).
So, I see compliance with the authorities does in more than in a way advantage to us.
