Crepe myrtle trees are comforting.

When I was a kid we had several crepe myrtle trees in our backyard.

Any time there was a problem at school or if I got in trouble with my parents I would go into the backyard and sit on that little yellow bench to stare at the crepe myrtle trees.

It was as though they were actual friends of mine and watching them sway in the wind was incredibly peaceful.

We had several different color ones including white, pink, and purple.

Our backyard had one of the biggest fences I have ever seen in my life which completely covered the tress creating a sort of sanctuary.

Lately I have noticed a lot of places like Walmart and In and Out burger really doing a great job of landscaping with beautiful flowers and trees.

Just today I ate lunch with my mom at Chick-Fil-A and I noticed that the outside was completely covered in beautiful white crepe myrtle trees.

The people going through the drive thru must have thought I was crazy standing around taking pictures but I could not help myself.

Maybe it's because they remind me of being a kid and sitting in my backyard relaxing but to me crepe myrtle trees are comforting.
