If you don't have Prime, shipping from Amazon takes forever.
Well,  guess what? My copy of Voices in the Darkness came in the mail today from Amazon.

 I think I am the last author to receive their copy,  even though I'm probably the very first person to order it. I ordered the book minutes after I published it.... which was on March 8th.

 I think it looks really good. 

The book itself is larger than I expected.

It's not a mass-market book, instead it's more like a trade paperback.

The cover has a nice matte finish,  and it definitely looks dark and foreboding.

The inside is formatted and edited nicely. 

Everything seems like it really fell into place. The lettering on the spine is even perfectly aligned. That is the part that gave me the most difficulty.

Getting the lettering on the spine to line up just right probably took me about 30 tries. 

You try and then you get rejected,  and then you try and then you get rejected.

I'm glad that we figured out the formula.

This is a quality book. 

It is absolutely a steal at $9.99.

I don't know what your shipping looked like, but when I didn't have prime, I noticed that even though it might take 8 or 10 days to get it, they still only shipped things a day or two ahead of when I got it.  I thought it was funny that the longer shipping was just because they waited a week or more to send it out. 

I really didn't care. I always needed or wanted enough to get free shipping and I was never in a hurry for what I ordered.  Still free !  

Glad you have your copy now. I know that must feel good.
