I have PIVX in my wallet but for some reason the balance shows 0, Easy steps to solve this

This has got to be the worst feeling ever, To startup your wallet after it has just crashed or after an update to see you have 0 balance!, I know as I have been through it and here is a simple guide on how to resolve it.


Issue at hand:        Balance not showing on the wallet
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Common causes: Wallet crashed and blocks corrupted, Blockchain not scanned properly.


How to resolve:

1.) Do not panic, As a safety precaution always go to your PIVX data directory commonly found in these locations:
Windows: %appdata%/pivx 
Linux: ~/.pivx/
Mac : ~/Library/Application Support/pivx
And backup that wallet.dat and yes an off pc location such as a secure flashdrive is perfect.

2.) Open up your PIVX wallet.

3.) Click TOOLS and in the dropdown menu click WALLET REPAIR

4.)Select  RESCAN BLOCKCHAIN FILES

5.) Your wallet will now re-sync and you should see your balance return to normal :), It does take some time so whilst that happens please share my blog for anyone struggling  with PIVX as I post tutorials every few days.

Interesting article.  I was about to post a similair post. Cryptos will probably go through a more extreme pattern that bitcoin went though. High ups and high downs before it becomes stable.  We do need to look better at the insights of every coin. What team is behind it, is there any management. How strong is the product, is there any product at all? I found this amazing platform: https://www.coincheckup.com They researched and analyzed every tradable coin out there.
