In the account of creation in Genesis chapter 3, Man was given the choice of obeying or disobeying God when he was told about the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he was created with the ability to make choices, choices for which he alone is accountable and responsible for.
Genesis 3:2-3;
>And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
We can see Adam and Eve made their choice, they were not helpless victim of circumstances, on the contary, they were given the free will to either obey God by not eating of the fruit and therefore enjoying the blessings of obedience, or disobeying God, eating of the fruit and suffering the consequences of their actions.They knew what it would be either ways and chose what they wanted.
Galatians 6:7
>Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Whatever choices we make, we are responsible for, most times we suffer for what we brought upon ourselves and then turn to blame God when the consequences come. We shouldn't blame God or Fate for our travails when we are dragged about by our own evil desires.
Proverbs 19:3
>A person’s own folly leads to their ruin,
yet their heart rages against the Lord.
Revelation 20:13;
>:and they were judged every man according to their works.
