So that we may receive what we are asking for, let us pray in faith without any doubt that God can do  the things we are asking from Him. 
Asking God for a favor to do something which we cannot do is the meaning of prayer in the Bible. Philippians 4:6;

"Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."

Have no anxiety about anything, in our lives on earth, there are so many anxieties, worries, problems in life but we must not be troubled by any problem in life, the only solution in everything is by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to God; to pray to God is to make your request known to Him. In so many ways you can pray for any situation you are in.
Prayer means making our request be known unto God and you will be favoured if you have faith in God. You must have faith while praying because you cannot please God without faith. Hebrews 11:6;

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.”

To please God and make your prayers known unto God you must ask in faith. James 1:6–7;

6:"But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea, driven with the wind and tossed."

7:"For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord"

So that we may receive from God what we are asking for, we must ask in faith without doubts, without entertaining any negative thinking.
