What I learnt:
In the Bible exposition, Bro Eli started by saying that when a man responds to the things of God, then it is God that is actually working in him to do his good purpose. Because the natural man is always looking to go astray, looking to go away from the things of God. So when a man is invited to God's presence and he filled the desire to go there, or he feels the desire to do the things of God, then it is God that is actually working in him to do his good pleasure. So we should Respond accordingly.
Question was asked, why is there a day for the death?
And we were made to understand that they for the date was an invention by Catholic Church, right? So they believe that. That there is purgatory and there is no record of purgatory in the Bible. They say that poetry is a place where the souls of the dead are while they are being prayed for, for God to have mercy on them. So therefore they dead is a day that they celebrate for the removal of souls of the dead from purgatory. So purgatory is not biblical and should not be celebrated or practiced. First Corinthians, chapter 4, verse six tells us and warns us against going beyond what was written in the Bible. So if there is nothing. Written in the Bible, then we should not follow it.
A question concerning Christmas, a brother asking why is Christmas celebrated?
Christmas was also an invention. Because it is not recorded in the Bible. Christmas simply means mass of Christ. That is the celebration of the birth of Christ. Even when the date of the of the birth of Christ is not known, that is, the actual date of that the birth of Christ is not known. So Christmas is not biblical, it was only an invention. And the date for the celebration which is in December is not even rhyming because as as our 25th of December there is always snow and where the shepherd were gathering to take care of their sheep. Was not filled with snow. So the celebration at that day is not correct.
I also learned from a question of a brother concerning Ezekiel, chapter one, verse four that it was just a vision that Ezekiel saw. No creature came down from any other planet to be called on Earth. God Almighty created the heavens and the earth, so no creature came from anywhere to be God on Earth. Perhaps such creature that that flew was. Unidentified flying object. So nothing came from any other place to be a God here on Earth. God created the whole universe and our solar system which the sun lit. Is composed of nine planets which they have removed Pluto. So we are only left with eight planets and it is proven that there is no life in any other planet apart from the Earth. So no creature came from anywhere to the earth to become a God. And when we look at revelation of John, the four creatures were also mentioned that Ezekiel saw. They were also mention and they are they praising God always and always.
